I cannot recommend Sandra at The Dress Surgeon enough. She is such a sweet lady from Trinidad and truly talented at what she does. She finished my wedding dress in less than a week (about 6 days), which is unheard of at most big alteration shops.

I needed about an inch and a half hem off the front so I could walk comfortably, and she also adjusted the mesh in the chest area so it fit much better. On top of that, she added a beautiful bustle that was both elegant and practical. The total cost was $225 — significantly more affordable than the larger bridal alteration places I looked into, and the quality of her work was phenomenal.

It’s also important to mention: Sandra deserves to be paid what she is worth. When I first visited, I saw someone try to pay her just a few dollars for her time, and it did not sit right with me. The craftsmanship and care she puts into each dress is worth every penny, and then some.

If you want a skilled, kindhearted seamstress who will treat your dress with respect and deliver stunning results quickly, go to Sandra. You won’t regret it.

Sandra is absolutely amazing she did alterations on my wedding dress which was done to perfection she is very personable and her professionalism is admirable. I highly recommend her for your wedding alterations she also did work for other members of the bridal party. GREAT JOB.
