We had the most lovely experience working with Kendal and Anthony, of The DeLauras. They not only created incredible photography and videography but also helped us stay present throughout the day while making sure we stayed on track with our packed schedule.

Ahead of the wedding, Kendal and Anthony helped us build confidence for our big day by giving us generous amounts of time to walk through our schedule and gave feedback on what needed tweaking. They had worked at our venue various times in the past and were experts on what works and suggested many helpful tips like purchasing sun umbrellas for the guests during the ceremony. They also suggested we escape to the forest while guests arrived to go on a photoshoot, which was so fun. It was a blast connecting with them ahead of the wedding as they brought a fun collaborative tone during the planning period.

On the wedding day, Kendal and Anthony played a key role in helping ensure the day was on track and while doing so made sure we were present by having us pause to soak in the key moments of the day. They brought such an upbeat and professional energy throughout the entire day, which gave us all of the confidence we needed to make sure we were in good hands and helped us let go of control and just enjoy the day. We had so much fun with them throughout the day and were so thankful to have them help guide us through the journey. They played a key role in the success of the day. And the photography and videography they delivered is incredible!! We are so glad to have had them capture our special moments during our big day.

The DeLauras photographed our Carmel Valley wedding on August 27th of last year. I cannot express enough how beautiful the photos were! My husband and I were very intent on being present on the wedding day, soaking it all in and capturing every moment. We were blown away by how well the photographs captured the entire day. When seeing our photos for the first time, we were immediately transported back to our wedding day and just cried. You were able to see all of the joy, the sweet moments, the excitement, all of these things came through very clearly in the photos and we are forever grateful. Our wedding video is in progress and not yet completed but if the photos and the slideshow were any indication of what to expect, we will be overjoyed. So many of our guests and family members raved about how beautifully the photos turned out and how sweet Kendal and Anthony were. Their talent is unmatched. They are a lovely couple who work so well together. Very chill, salt of the earth people. Extremely professional. Stellar work; even better than you could have hoped for. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with them and cannot thank them enough for so beautifully capturing our wedding day. My husband and I saw a photo that the DeLauras took at our venue in San Clemente years ago and knew we wanted to work with them. Even though they live 5+ hours away, they agreed to do our wedding and were AMAZING. We went up to Big Sur to do our engagement shoot (even though they offered to come down and do it near us) and instantly felt at ease with Kendal and Anthony. We were so thrilled by how the photos turned out and had such a good time with Kendal and Anthony that we were actually excited to get to spend all day with them at our wedding. I am super un-photogenic but they give such good directions and know the most flattering lighting/angles that I am actually in awe of how good they did capturing flattering candids. It’s amazing how much of the love, warmth, and even laughter come through their photos. We are beyond in love with our photos and will cherish them forever. But above all, I am most grateful for the times on our wedding day that Kendal and Anthony reminded my husband and I to take it in and be present in the moment—with so much going on, your head is a thousand different places and it’d be easy forget/be too busy to stop and take it all in. Some of my favorite memories of the day were the private moments between my husband and I spent taking it in, thanks to Kendal and Anthony.

Kendall and Anthony are wonderful photographers. We hired them for our wedding and they made two awkward picture-takers feel right at home in front of the camera. Their vision and attention to detail is amazing. They are also great people who made the process comfortable and welcoming. Kendall & Anthony are not only great at their job as photographers but also great people to surround yourself with, at times we felt they should have been guests at our wedding.

Luckily for us my husband & I met them thru an engagement photo shoot contest that we won in Laguna Beach. After we got back those awesome photos we worked with them again for my sisters wedding in San Clemente, again stunning photos!

Working with the DeLauras is a gift for couples who want their most precious day captured in still and motion photography with just the right amount of care, expertise, and creativity. It was a joy to work with such a talented and accommodating team with obvious and authentic passion for their craft!

During the initial run up to a much delayed Big Sur wedding- my wife spent countless hours pouring over every wedding site, blog, and instagram. But as soon as she came across the DeLauras we were sold immediately- if a picture is worth a thousand words, then their photos were worth a million. Could we immediately tell that Kendal and Anthony are supremely talented photographers? Yes. Without knowing anything about the couples involved could we feel the joy in these photos? Hell yes.

But that doesn't tell the whole story. What you CAN'T see in those photos is the warmth, charisma, and energy that Kendal and Anthony have as photographers.

Every step of the way, from struggling to book a venue, having some last minute engagement shoot changes, to having to reschedule our wedding, to the actual day- Kendal and Anthony were supportive, communicative, and most importantly- fun to be around and up for anything. Unless you are a trained model (uhhh my wife and I definitely are not) chances are there's always some hesitation, uncertainty, and fear when it comes to photoshoots, and ESPECIALLY your wedding, but Kendal and Anthony's energy and confidence immediately bring your guard down, put you at ease, and let you actually enjoy and be in the moment. More than just talented photographers they are truly wonderful people, this makes all the difference in the world and comes through in every photo. I couldn't more highly recommend them and honestly we feel extremely lucky to have had a chance to work with them.

My wife and I want to thank The Delauras for shooting our recent elopement at Table Rock Beach! We decided on the spur of the moment to elope at the end of a business trip we were on in Anaheim. Kendal and Anthony were incredible to work with. Kendal assisted us with many ideas about how to make our day even more special. Kendal also recommended an incredible florist (Cargo Creative) who she has worked with in the past and they delivered an incredible bouquet and Arch with a great flower arrangement for us to use.

A HUGE shout out to Anthony for saving the day for me when a button popped of my vest, right before the start of the wedding of course. Not a great feeling when you are 20 minutes away from your start time. Anthony went to 3 places and bought a needle and thread for me to use. Now that is certainly going above and beyond what one would expect. We would highly recommend The Delauras to anyone who wants their “special moment” captured!

We are eagerly waiting to see the photographs she took that captured our special moment. We have no doubt they will be as incredible as they were to work with.
