An Elegant Courthouse for Timeless/Enchanting/Breathtaking Weddings

Wow your guests in the Historic DeKalb Courthouse; a premier wedding venue in the heart of charming Decatur. Our elegant Courtroom is clad in white marble, and features 20-foot ceilings crowned with handcrafted plaster. A series of graceful plaster arches surround the room – on two walls they enclose enormous historic arched wooden windows – allowing for ample natural light. These beautiful details combine to create a gorgeous backdrop for your ceremony and reception. Its timeless elegance will match your vision and can be enjoyed with minimal or maximal décor. The majestic granite exterior of the Courthouse offers numerous opportunities for intimate or group photographs as does Decatur’s Square. There is great flexibility here with the spaces and rental packages – whether you have been planning for your elaborate wedding day for two years, or are bringing your elopement vision to life in three months.

The Courtroom can accommodate up to 150 guests for your ceremony and a seated reception. Other rooms for wedding festivities include the Harrison Room, perfect for a buffet, and the Lobby (also featuring marble, ornate plaster, high ceilings and warm wood details), most often used for cocktail hour. Weekend wedding rentals include the use of all three spaces, as well as two get-ready rooms. They provide a list of preferred vendors who have experience in the venue to aid in the seamless execution of every wedding.
