We had a tiny wedding of just 11 people, but I could not have been more spoiled by my experience hosting the reception at the Capital Grille. Despite being the best restaurant (#1 on tripadvisor!) in Minneapolis, they were extremely well-priced for the absolutely mind-blowing level of service we received. The private Wine Room (holds up to 18-20) is absolutely beautiful, and created a wonderful, intimate experience for my guests. The Capital Grille was extremely flexible and accomodating - I had multiple tastings, customized menus, butler passed bubbly as my guests arrived, overnight valet parking for my guests, no cake cutting fee, no room rental fee, they even offered basic florals for the table. When I opted for my own flowers, they allowed me to deliver flowers the day before and offered to store them in the restaurant's own flower fridge before the event. I was absolutely treated like royalty throughout the whole process and I was so fortunate that I was able to create a black-tie experience for my guests despite my limited budget. And the food? Everything was beyond my imagination - the highlights of the evening were the massive towers of chilled lobster, oysters, crab, and shrimp and the thick 20 oz new york strips grilled to perfection. I had 5 entree choices to offer to my guests and they could order at the table. It was amazing, and the coordinator at the restaurant was the most lovely, helpful lady, who just really wanted to make my event special for me, regardless of how much I could (or could not) spend.
