The beautiful building the event space is based in dates back to the 1920s. Originally used for storing boats, it has been restored and renovated to proudly host wedding events. Only one wedding is hosted at a time to ensure that couples receive the attention they deserve. The best venue

From the moment I walked in, I knew the Boathouse was the perfect venue for us. I couldn’t be happier with our experience. James and Megan were extremely helpful throughout the process, and really showed up the weekend of our wedding. Not only is the venue stunning, but the people behind it are incredible. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location and incredible help!

The Boathouse was beautiful! It surpassed my imagination for our wedding day. Our ceremony on the lawn was gorgeous, the island cocktail hour was magical and the reception was a blast! Bringing in all the vendors was challenging, but Megan's recommendations were very helpful. She and James were flexible with all our COVID needs and worked with us to make the day a success.

The Boathouse Shelter Island

My husband and I had our wedding here July 3, 2021. When we were looking for wedding venues we wanted something different and unique and when we came across the Boathouse it checked both of those boxes. Turns out the Boathouse would check all of our boxes and then some! It sits right on the water with the most amazing views and they have a huge field area to have your ceremony and take pictures. The Boathouse provided a blank canvas for us to create our vision and it really came to life for our wedding. Megan and James are truly the most amazing people to work with. They were always responsive and accommodating. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had the most perfect day! Our wedding truly was absolutely perfect and our guests still tell us it was the best wedding ever!! 1000000/10 recommend!!

The most perfect venue -- The Boathouse SI

Our wedding at The Boathouse Shelter Island was a dream! James, Meghan and the rest of the team were amazing and made sure that we had the best day. Our guests LOVED the venue. It was a crazy year to plan a wedding, but James and Meghan were kind, patient, understanding, and truly our lifesavers. We absolutely recommend the venue to anyone looking for the best views + the best service. We wish we could do it again!

Our Wedding at The Boathouse!

We had the most amazing experience getting married at The Boathouse. Megan was so helpful throughout our planning process and the day of. She was able to answer all of our questions and assist us with whatever we needed. She truly eased our minds throughout everything and made our experience stress-free and so enjoyable!

Boathouse- Shelter Island

The Boathouse is a gorgeous venue for any event. The marina and bay views make for a gorgeous evening or daytime event. The exterior deck adds a wonderful dynamic to the party scene as well. The entire facility is new and very well-kept and clean. Megan and James did a phenomenal job for my husband’s 50th bDay. They were so helpful and flexible and very professional! I highly recommend the Boathouse.

From the outset of our first contact with James and Megan they have been both consummate professionals and totally responsive. The quality of their venue is superb and all of our guests commented on that. They said the facility was impeccably groomed and maintained and was an impressive venue. Of course, that's great to hear but from a client point of view what was more important was their attention to every little detail and fast, positive response to every one of our requests. Guests also gave very positive feedback on the use of the island for cocktails and the boathouse for the dinner and dancing. The final result of all James' and Megan's efforts is that we had the most spectacular wedding reception you could ever imagine. It was magical thanks to them.

We were one of the first couples to host our reception in the newly renovated space. Gorgeous water views even in late October. Cocktail hour on the “island” was fun and funky. The water, the sky and the docks made for great photos!
