The Barns at Nappanee, Home of Amish Acres, is a historic wedding venue located in Nappanee, Indiana, just 40 minutes away from the Michigan border. Husband-and-wife team Marlin and Christy Stutzman have been proud owners of the property since 2020. One of the venue’s event spaces, the Round Barn Theater, is a special place for the couple, as Marlin proposed to Christy there in 1999. Recognizing from their own experience the magical setting this property offers, they are happy to help couples celebrate their love stories.

Facilities and Capacity

The Barns at Nappanee, Home of Amish Acres, features multiple sites for you to host your big day. The Garret is a handcrafted wood loft adjacent to the property’s charming courtyard. Each beam in the space was hand-hewn by Amish settlers who cared for the building over two centuries ago. You and your partner are invited to celebrate with up to 125 loved ones in this space, which features antique hardwood floors and ornamented windows. Ideal for receptions, the Loft can accommodate up to 125 guests. This site is home to the Barns 1600 Club and showcases exposed-beam ceilings, rustic chandeliers, and a small stage for live entertainment. The lounge area allows those celebrating to take a break from the dance floor by the bar. Another indoor event space, the Grand Hall, features views of the historic setting outside of its windows. Here, 150 guests can dine and dance, or 250 people can share in the festivities if you include the adjoining restaurant, the Beam Room. You and your partner are welcome to say “I do” in the historic Round Barn Theater, built in 1911. The cathedral-like ceiling and large elevated stage offer a one-of-a-kind setting for any ceremony. Though they all offer unique rustic charm, each space can be decorated to your liking. There are also a number of outdoor options available for those who would like to tie the knot in the open air. These include the Walnut Grove, the Willow Tree, Norm’s Pond, and the Heart of the Orchard.
