Perfect Wedding Venue

My husband and I were married at The Amish Door on 10.8.2022, and it was absolutely beautiful. Denise and the team are all so incredibly nice, flexible, and patient. The food and bar service was amazing and the venue is gorgeous. We had our ceremony at the gazebo and reception at the Milana Ballroom. Having everything on site, including the inn, was perfect for our out of town guests. It made the day so much easier to take transportation out of the equation. The honeymoon suite is breathtaking and the bridal suite is the perfect spot to get ready. Thank you so much to Denise and the team for making our wedding the most beautiful day. We highly recommend the Amish Door for any couple looking to for a beautiful wedding venue.

Absolutely charming wedding venue!

Beautiful place to have our wedding and reception! The inn was delightful and our family liked that everything was all on one property. The workers were professional and delightful! Our wedding cake made by the restaurant was gorgeous and delicious, plus the food was like good home cooking that grandma makes.

Beautiful venue

The staff made the entire planning process so extremely easy! Their guidance and accommodations really went above and beyond! The beauty of the venue speaks for itself. We had our reception in the conference room of the Inn. The beautiful windows let in all the scenery from all around. It is a peaceful beautiful space. Initially we were set to get married outside by the gazebo yet there was a snow storm the day before. The staff quickly made arrangements and moved us indoors. It was such a beautiful ceremony I couldn’t of been happier to of had it right where we were. I would recommend to absolute anyone to give this place a look. The love the staff have for their venue and even more so for their guests is felt through everything they do!! This will forever be a special place for us always. Looking forward to another stay there soon!

Absolutely Perfect

We could not have been happier with choosing the Amish Door as our wedding venue. Jerrod and Denise were amazing to work with, and made our special day run as smooth as possible. They accommodated everything we asked for, and answered each one of our million questions. The day started by getting ready in the spacious bridal suite, that is brand new. It had excellent lighting, and plenty of room for 10 girls to get ready. The food was absolutely delicious, and the venue in the fall was absolutely breathtaking.

The main reason we picked the Amish Door was that we were able to have the wedding, the reception, AND the hotel all at one location. This allowed all of our family and friends, whether they were local or not, to take part in our special day. We could not have asked for a better venue, or better people to work with.

The Amish Door is the perfect place to get married if you love that country feel. Although they do not allow alcohol at the reception (if you chose to have it there) they go out of their way to make you feel at home.
During my reception dinner, the cooks sent out special vegan and gluten free deserts to my guests and myself who have specific dietary needs. Kristina, the wedding coordinator at the Amish door is amazing and she made it a point to stop by during every event and ask if she could help with anything.
Truly you could not ask for a better place to get married if you love that rustic scenery and good country food!

Unprofessional

We worked with Denise who was great..unfortunately she was on vacation during the wedding when it went haywire. We wanted a very small reception/ceremony for local people since our larger ceremony would be held out of country. We picked Amish door since we felt it was more affordable and Denise stated that our expense on decorations would be very small due to the excessive fall decorating that the Amish door does yearly. Which...they did do...just not in the areas that we were getting married at. We paid $350 for the gazebo rental for the ceremony (that we ended up not using due to rain). But there were no decorations at all in that area and I had to ask for some to be moved there. Which they did but not much. The day of the wedding we moved the ceremony indoors last minute and they were quick to help. HOWEVER...if you do not book an additional room to change in you either have to change in the restrooms or in the restroom that everyone is in OR in the Amish Door office...so plan another $265ish to book the room at the Inn.
After the ceremony the food was to be served @ 3:30. We also purchased a never ending cheese/meat tray and a large veggie tray. The cheese tray they refused to refill despite it being empty. After being questioned they just didn't have any extra cheese & meat(or very little but would bring out what they had)...which was a joke. Additionally since they have a store there where they sell cheese and meat you have to wonder why this was impossible. So for an hour we had the cheese and meat tray(that they didn't refill until after the dinner was over) and the veggie tray because they were over an hour late serving dinner. While they were bringing out the dinner the head waitress came out and in front of the guests asked how we were going to settle the bill (which had already been paid prior to the event).

I would not recommend Amish door as a wedding venue. Serving dinner over an hour late with no communication in addition to confronting the bride and groom in front of guests at the wedding over a bill that was ALREADY PAID is not something an "I'm sorry" can fix...which is all we received. All in all for 32 people the wedding rental and the reception was around $2200...this did not include anything extra...only what we paid Amish Door directly.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
