Alida delivers

The Alida was top notch in communicating from my first interest in them. I was able to come tour the facility and upon touring I decided I would be willing to change my date to switch to a different room at the hotel for the experience. I always had questions and last minute changes (popped up pregnant few weeks before) Jessica was always willing to answer whatever concern I had and make any changes needed to make sure our wedding was the best it could be. The location, the services, and the food were highly commented on by my bridal party and guests attending. We were all so impressed. You should just say yes to The Alida.

Wedding weekend and Welcome Event

We hosted our welcome event at the rooftop and let me tell you how incredible it was! We also used this hotel as part of our room block and heard nothing but amazing things about the rooms, the hotel in general, the staff and everything. Our contacts Jessica and Lucas were incredible and made the entire process so easy from start to finish. If you are looking for an upscale hotel, with great views, a great location and great staff, look no further!

Fantastic venue for a beautiful wedding!

Excellent location and beautiful venue for a wedding, particularly around the holidays. The space is already well-decorated but even more so in December. Our points of contact were very helpful and responsive from day 1. Worth considering for special events in Savannah!

Beautiful Location and the Epitome of Savannah

From the start Jessica (our rehearsal dinner coordinator) was extremely responsive and proactive. She kept us on schedule with the decisions that needed to be made and gave us easy options to choose from.

The venue was beautiful. We opted for the rooftop which gave us an amazing view of the Savannah River and parts of the city. We had a lot of guests that had never visited Savannah and this was the perfect start to the weekend. Not to mention the location is right in the center of everything and our guests could easily walk down to River Street after.

The Alida also had the benefit of having multiple available rooms so we had a backup plan of moving the dinner indoors if the weather didn't cooperate. It gave us a lot of peace of mind leading up to the day.

The food was a great example of southern cuisine and we were excited to share that with our guests from different parts of the country. Everyone loved the dinner and the hospitality.

It was a perfect start to our wedding weekend and an evening we will never forget!

The “Lost Square” at the Alida Hotel… the perfect venue for a celebration!

This past October, we hosted the “Welcome Party” for guests who were attending our son’s wedding. We reserved “The Lost Square” rooftop bar at the Alida hotel, including the adjacent courtyard for dinner. Jessica Mathis, our coordinator at the Alida, guided us seamlessly through the entire process, which began several months prior. She promptly answered all of our e-mails and phone calls, offered thoughtful suggestions, sent us a time line and reminders, and organized a wonderful tasting luncheon. It was a lovely venue and a beautiful evening on the rooftop. The bartenders and wait staff were attentive, thoughtful, and friendly. We selected a variety of passed appetizers which we had in the bar area, then enjoyed a scrumptious “Southern Style Buffet” on the rooftop courtyard. Many thanks to Jessica Mathis and to the professional yet warm and accommodating personnel at the Alida who made our event such a special and memorable one. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect place in Savannah to host a celebration.

November Rehearsal Dinner

We were fortunate to have been able to reserve The Trade Room at The Alida for our son’s rehearsal dinner and welcome reception. The couple wanted an informal and relaxed event and the space fit our needs perfectly. We also had access to the patio to enjoy the lovely weather. The planning was flawless and stress free. The set up of the food stations and the bar was exactly as promised. We received so many compliments on the food. Especially the shrimp and grits and the beignets. The staff was exceptionally attentive and professional. We couldn’t have asked for anything more for the kickoff event of the bride and groom’s wedding weekend!

Daniel Wedding 2025

Exceptional venue. We did our rehearsal dinner followed by welcome drinks on the terrace and it was truly amazing. The southern BBQ buffet was fantastic! Highly recommend.

Fantastic venue!

Incredible play for a wedding welcome party and rehearsal dinner! The team was very helpful, filling any requests I had during the planning process and while on site. I cannot recommend this venue enough!
