About
Founded on the belief that your event deserves better. Because who said stunning and smart can’t coexist?
Tired of inconsistent, poor-quality, eye-sore photobooths dragging down otherwise stunning soirées? So were we. As event planners (and best friends since third grade!), we realized there was one part of every party that seemed to stick out like a sore thumb—the photo booth. Clunky cords, cheap props, bad lighting, and unenthusiastic attendants consistently interfered with even the most well-planned parties. So, we decided to kick all-things cheap and cheesy to the curb and create our own solution instead—and, in 2014, The 805 Booth was born.
The 805 Booth Difference
Each of our San Luis Obispo photobooths are equipped with the latest technology, custom-curated props that help tell your event story, and backgrounds that blend with your aesthetic (rather than clash with it). But high-quality props and professional lighting are only half of the story. It’s our killer customer-service that elevates The 805 Booth experience even further. One of our owners is always present at your event ensuring things run smoothly—and our background in event planning (and our perfectionist nature) means we treat your party as we would our own, consistently going above-and-beyond to ensure a well-integrated and memorable photobooth experience for you and your guests. Learn more about our founders below—or reach out today to get started custom-crafting your 805Booth experience.

Yvonne Baughman
Never leaves a stone unturned. Your go-to guru for every last logistic. Fueled by: a daily açaí bowl, Starbucks Tripleshot Energy, and business meetings at her favorite wineries. With 20 years of experience as an event planner to her name, Yvonne is known for her detailed-oriented eye, her outgoing personality, and her innate creativity. She’s our clients’ main point of contact and the one who irons out all of the details of every 805 Booth event. A constant learner with both business marketing and music industry business certificates from UCLA under her belt, Yvonne spent her college years working for Nederlander Concerts and planned her first benefit concert at the impressive age of 16. After moving to the Bay Area, Yvonne accepted a position at the Laura Mercier counter at Macys. While she originally thought the job was simply something that would help her financially as she finished college, she ended up falling in love with the gig, as it further fueled her passion for events. After planning events during her tenure at Macy’s, she was hooked and spent the next two decades of her life planning weddings, galas, and gatherings of all kinds. In 2016, she founded Central Coast House of Design which she recently rebranded to her now virtual concierge wedding planning company, Aisle PlanIt. Fed up with clunky photobooths that interfered with the aesthetic of the events she planned, she founded The 805 Booth in 2014 and, in 2019, joined forces with her best friend since 3rd grade and owner of what was then Lux Photobooth(more on Emily below!) to bring you the award-winning 805Booth experience clients can expect today. She loves that her role allows her to bring some lightness to a client’s wedding-planning process (because, let’s face it—photobooths are far more fun than seating charts). When she’s not planning photobooth experiences in SLO to pure perfection, you can find her at a local farmers market, cheering on her daughter at a youth softball game, or curled up with her two Boston Terriers binge-watching Hulu.

Emily Sudbrink
Prop-sourcing queen. Brings out the absolute best in your guests (and incredible photos follow).Fueled by: Giving back to her community...and the perfect In-n-Out meal. A photographer at heart with an endlessly giving nature, Emily is the smiling face you can expect to see working your event and going above-and-beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly. Her passion forphotobooths began when she saw just how much energy and joy they could bring to the non-profit events she planned. She especially loves that photobooths allow you to capture memories in a tangible (think:not on an iPhone) way—and, it goes without saying, she’s a total sucker for a great fridge photo. While there are endless stories about Emily going the extra mile at events, our favorite involves her manning a photobooth during a serious downpour (even rainstorms can’t stop her). She has a natural passion for lifting others up and a knack for ensuring guests feel great about themselves in front of the lens—which ultimately results in stunning photos that are chock-full of genuine smiles. When she’s not bringing her contagious energy and magnetic personality to events, you can likely find her volunteering her time on a number of non-profit boards, working with local schools in the classroom and as an athletics coach, watching her kids play sports, or sourcing one-of-a-kind props for each of our San Luis Obispo photobooth experiences. (Don’t be surprised if that vintage top-hat the groom has on is worth more than the photobooth itself.)
