The home was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1976 as an important architectural survivor from the 1900’s when the Capitol Hill and Cheesman Park neighborhoods were home to Denver’s most elegant addresses. Currently the Tears-McFarlane House is home to non-profits and local businesses as well as a unique space available to rent for your next party, celebration, wedding or retreat. The Tiffany stained glass window located on the grand staircase in the house is a highlight of the property.
