Carolyn made our wedding cake for our wedding on Thursday and it was truly amazing! I enjoyed the tasting we had in January with 5 different flavors all of them amazing!!! And the 2 choices I chose were just as amazing on the wedding day. The cake looked and tasted perfect. She responded when I emailed with her and called me the week of the wedding to double check the guest count. I would highly recommend Carolyn for anyone who want an excellent cake for a very good price!!!

Carolyn at Taylor Made Cakes was great and easy to work with! She made the wedding cake for our wedding on New Years Eve. She was able to create the design that I wanted based off something I found on Pinterest, and it looked amazing (very fun for New Years Eve)!!

We did the taste testing with her before hand at her home, where we picked our flavors, and she was so sweet and the cake options were delicious! We went with the Southern Caramel and the Marble - so yummy! We just did the buttercream icing, which looked and tasted great. We got all great feedback on the taste of the cake, and the pictures of the cake itself are fabulous!

The contract was simple and she makes the process easy and painless! Her price was competitive for other wedding cake vendors. She delivered the cake to the venue on the day of the wedding. She provided with the box for the topper to take home, as well as a nice plate to present it on (which she requests to get back post-wedding).

Our caterer was kind enough to box up a lot of the left over cake, and we ate it for many days after - it was so great!

Overall, Carolyn was easy to work with, for a good price, and she created us a beautiful and delicious cake for our NYE wedding! I would recommend Carolyn to anyone for a wedding cake, or any other cake they may need!

Highly recommend Taylor Made Cakes. Not only was she easy to work with and reasonably priced but her cake was AWESOME!! It looked great and was decorated with flowers provided by our florist. The guests thought the cake tasted fabulous!

Carolyn did an AWESOME job with our wedding cake. I wish I could attach a photo to this review, because she did exactly what we asked for, even though I doubt she'd done a cake like it before. It looked beautiful, tasted even better, and was delivered on time.

Also, our cake tasting with Carolyn was one of the highlights of our wedding planning -- we still talk with our parents about how great all the cakes were that we tried!

I would highly recommend Taylor Made Cakes to any bride in the northern VA area. Carolyn is very skilled, passionate, easy to work with, and her cakes taste amazing! Our guests commented on how delicious the cake was. She created the exact wedding cake that I had envisioned and exceeded our expectations in many ways. My family enjoyed her cake so much that we've since used her for other occasions and additional weddings! She is truly a gem and I know you would be satisfied!

Working with Carolyn Taylor was easy. DH and I visited Carolyn with my maid of honor and her fiance for a cake tasting. She served so many different flavors of cake at the tasting; it was very hard to choose. Finally, DH and I selected her as our cake vendor. I had gone to a few other places that were way more expensive and had terrible cake. We settled on vanilla with vanilla buttercream and carrot cake. The top tier was carrot cake because DH and I LOVE it.

Since she is a preferred vendor at our venue, Whitehall Manor, Carolyn already knew the ropes of the venue. When we came into our reception, I glanced at the cake. The cake was so beautiful. She used some of our flowers to spruce it up, as well.

The most important detail was that it was delicious! Our guests raved about it. A lot of them said it was the best wedding cake they have had. In the grand scheme of things, most guests don't remember what cake you served or what they had for dinner. But, we still have guests telling us that they wished Taylor Made Cakes had a store front to buy from.

She told us not to freeze the top tier, as is the tradition. So, we've been eating it all week. Five days later, it is STILL moist and perfect as it was on our wedding day.

Carolyn Taylor of Taylor Made Cakes did our three-tier wedding cake and we (and our guests) were amazed at how delicious is was. Carolyn has trained and baked all over Europe and it shows - the layers were light but perfectly dense, the frosting was the perfect level of sweetness, and the hand piping was so elegant. Our wedding cake by Taylor Made was amazing! The White Velvet Butter Cake was delicious (like no "vanilla" cake I've ever had!) and the Chocolate Raspberry Torte was also a big hit with our guests. The black and white design on the cake layers was elegant and understated, exactly what we had asked for. An added bonus is that Carolyn was a pleasure to talk to; provided a wonderful tasting for us and made everything about the process completely hassle free for us. Highly recommend Taylor Made Cakes!
