Tucked beneath the lush canopy of Pachaug Forest, Tamarack Lodge & Glamping Resort welcomes weddings for upscale rustic celebrations in Voluntown, Connecticut. Serenity and vibrant greenery await couples at this glamping retreat, conveniently located mid-way between New York and Boston, and only an hour from New Haven.

Facilities and Capacity

Tamarack Lodge & Glamping Resort is located on 28-acres of pristine woodland, bordering Beach Pond Lake. The grounds include the historic Main Lodge, large and small Bandstands, vintage cabins, safari tents on an elevated deck overlooking the forest and fields, and a bell tent glamp which includes 7 tents on separate decks in a White Pine clearing. The property underwent significant renovation in 2022, which included a thorough updating of the three-bedroom guest house, with its charming bridal preparation suite.

Couples may choose from a range of unique outdoor ceremony sites, including the small bandstand with its elevated stage; the wooden pergola with its banks of flowers; the Field Bell with its western/rustic aesthetic; and Brookside, an off-trail forested clearing with rows of wooden benches.

Guests entering the Main Lodge are welcomed by a large, historic stone hearth, cheerfully blazing in the fall and winter and adorned with greens, candles and flowers in the summer. The layout is easy to navigate - spacious enough for guests to circulate and linger over photo and guest book displays, yet intimate enough for a flowing and cohesive event. In the event of weather, the Overlook Room can serve as a modern and elegant indoor ceremony space. The Main Lodge comfortably seats up to 140 guests beneath vaulted ceilings and vintage chandeliers.

The grounds include an organic kitchen garden, and its produce is incorporated into the range of menu offerings. Full catering and bar services are available onsite.

Service

Tamarack staff coordinate with families and vendors to ensure a seamless and truly special wedding. There is ample parking available on-site and staff help to direct guests through every element of the day. There is a customized golf cart onsite to escort any guests with mobility issues to the ceremony site of site, and the Main Lodge is one floor and fully accessible.
