Our wedding and reception at Sydalyn Hills was incredible!
My husband and I started looking around March of 2024 for venues to get married in the same year. We live near Sydalyn Hill and knew it was a venue, but had never been and weren’t sure about availability. So, I set up a visit with Gwyn and discovered what an amazing property it is. And even better - they had availability in August! We had about 5 months to pull together a ~125 person wedding, and it went absolutely perfectly. Gwyn and Jonathon were super supportive, allowing us to visit several times, promptly answering questions, and being open to our ideas. We were required to use a wedding planner, and it was a huge help, making things come together way better than I could have done on my own. The views, facilities, and activities were incredible, and riding up to the ceremony in the old truck seemed to really surprise and delight our guests. Several folks said to me afterwards this was the most beautiful wedding they’ve been to. I would whole heartedly recommend Sydalyn Hill to anyone looking for a venue in the Santa Cruz Mountains; it was a beautiful, magical, extraordinary day for us.

Absolutely stunning
Every single aspect of our wedding at Sydalyn Hill exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, Gwyn and her family put their hearts into making sure our wedding day was perfect and that it really felt like "us". The venue itself is STUNNING, and with their new lower lawn, there are many options to customize your event. Our family and friends were blown away by the beauty of the venue.
My (now) husband and I live in Brooklyn, and Gwyn seamlessly helped us plan our wedding from across the country. She made the process so clear, fun, and easy from day one. We relied on Gwyn's recommendations for our caterer, rentals, flowers, and rehearsal dinner venue, and they were all absolutely phenomenal. She helpfully walked us through the tradeoffs of each decision, and helped us select the perfect decor, layout, and food. We were also working on a pretty tight budget, and Gwyn was very sensitive to that throughout the process.
My husband and I stayed at the venue with 4 close friends for two nights, which added so much to the wedding weekend. It was amazing to wake up at Sydalyn, and it was great to have downtime at the venue with our friends before, during, and after the wedding. Amazing Venue!
We are so incredibly grateful to have been able to experience the magic and beauty of Sydalyn Hill; Gwyn and her family created our DREAM wedding and we cannot thank her enough for it! We wanted a unique wedding experience for both us and our guests, and all of that required so many moving parts (literally moving lol, almost all of our vendors operated out of vehicles) which posed it's own challenges and Gwyn knocked it all out the park! We asked so much of her to execute our vision and she made sure we could have what we wanted without compromise, thank you for all your incredible work Gwyn! We still have people coming up to us telling us it's the best wedding they've ever been to, we wish we could have been guests ourselves! We highly recommend Sydalyn Hill to everyone who is venue shopping, make an appointment and see the beauty of the place firsthand and you'll understand why everyone is raving.

The Perfect Venue!
Sydalyn Hill was the best decision we made for our wedding! The venue is more than just a beautifully scenic place, it's filled with all of the love and passion that Gwyn and her family have put into it. From the moment we stepped on the property and saw the gorgeous view and met Gwyn we knew it would be our venue. Gwyn was our rock throughout the entire process keeping us updated, on track and not missing a single step. She and her families creativity and passion is in every detail of the property from the heated floors in the home to the garden that blooms year round.
The result was the most magical day of our lives. Everything was taken care of ahead of time so on the day of the wedding we were able to just relax, authentically share our vows with our loved ones and have a ton of fun dancing under the trees. Even when there were last minute pivots, Gwyn and her family were so patient and grounding amongst the wedding chaos. So needless to say we are so so grateful to have found this magical venue with Gwyn and her family who make it so special. We'll definitely be back to visit and stay on the wonderful property in the future. I hope you are as lucky as we were to book this amazing venue!

The most magical wedding weekend
Sydalyn Hill was the perfect place for our dream wedding, and I couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. Gwyn, Johnathan, and their family were so wonderful to work with! Gwyn was so helpful, guiding us through every step and making our day extraordinary. She met with us numerous times to go over details, went with us to pick rentals, and was so quick to respond when I had questions. Everything was very well organized, and the weekend ran so smoothly.
The value of what was included in our venue fee was incredible. I felt like we were genuinely valued as clients, and Gwyn always had our best interests top of mind. Nothing about this felt transactional. When we got engaged, we went back and forth on eloping or having the full wedding, and this venue made me so much more confident in our choice to invest in having the big day.
The property is absolutely stunning. The garden was in full bloom, which worked out so well for my wildflower wedding vision. My husband and I grew up in the San Lorenzo Valley, so getting married there with that incredible view was so special for us. There is no detail spared at Sydalyn Hill, and I can tell the property is only going to become more beautiful over the years. My guests were raving about the venue and had so much fun exploring the grounds. Jonathan even gave some of my guests a tour and shared the property's history- They loved it!! The space feels so big, yet intimate, and is such a great canvas to pull together your dream wedding.
I felt having the house on the property was such a game-changer for the bridal party. I had my bridesmaids sleep over the night before, and it was so special to have that time together. The early hair and makeup time was easy since everyone was already there. Having all of our things on-site was convenient, and we loved being able to stay the night after the wedding. The house itself is so beautiful, and you never want to leave! We're already planning to return for future anniversaries.
I am highly recommending Sydalyn Hill to literally everyone I know. It made our day overflow with love and unforgettable memories! We will be forever grateful to have had our wedding here.

Gwyn and her team at Sydalyn Hill were everything we were hoping for for our wedding weekend! The property and venue space has picturesque views for the ceremony, a cozy setting for
dinner and dancing under a magnificent tree, and a fun s'more firepit area for late night snacks. Set up in the gorgeous redwood hills of Felton you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, but the property still offers modern amenities like built in lighting throughout the outdoor space, a beautifully renovated home tucked away on the property where the bridal party and family got ready and hung out pre-ceremony, and a slew of high end vendor recommendations to choose from and work with. Gwyn was very extremely helpful during the planning process, meeting with us several times to go over day of details, timeline planning, and design elements. She and her team (bonus - they're family!) were so sweet and made sure everything was planned to perfection. On the day of the team made sure vendors were taken care of and everything ran smoothly so all we had to do was enjoy our special day - it all went off without a hitch and we couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else. We highly recommend Sydalyn Hill for anyone hoping for a beautiful wedding in the redwoods - we wish we could do it all again!

An absolute dream
cannot say enough positive things about Sydalyn Hill and Gwyn and Johnathan. My husband and I feel so incredibly fortunate to have gotten married there and our guests raved all day (and even after the wedding) about the beautiful views, perfect weather, and gorgeous chandeliers hanging from the branches of the black walnut trees. In addition to the site itself being absolutely perfect for our day, Gwyn is the best thing you could ever wish for on your wedding day. We were very fortunate not to have any major mishaps but Gwyn is such a pro I was not aware of a single detail gone awry on our wedding day because she just handled it. She worked with us leading up to the wedding, coordinating rentals and helping our vision come to life as well as meeting with us periodically to make sure we were staying on track and as ready as possible. Our other vendors were blown away at how organized and on top of everything Gwyn was. A million thanks to Gwyn and the whole crew for helping us achieve the most amazing, stress-free, gorgeous, and utterly unforgettable day.

Dream Venue for a Perfect Day!
Our wedding was in September 2022 at Sydalyn Hill and we literally can not stop smiling and telling everyone how beyond perfect our experience was! From the moment we reached out (back in early 2021) and toured, the Weisberg family has been the kindest, most organized, supportive, and wonderful family to work with. We were absolutely blown away by the thoughtfulness and true passion to support us in planning the wedding day of our dreams. Gwyn, had been in contact with us the entire time and was our wedding planner as well as day of coordinator. We had never heard of a venue being so invested in supporting the couple through literally the ENTIRE process and we were beyond grateful to have found a family run venue that truly pours their heart into this work. We were able to borrow a ton of decorations from them, Gwyn helped us turn our ideas into a reality, and they even helped us pull off and staff a boba bar on our wedding day! So many of our guests said this was the most beautiful venue and most supportive staff they have ever experienced at a wedding and this is completely possible because of the kind hearts of this family. Gwyn is so organized that it really helped us stay on track for the year and a half of planning we did and we were able to go see the venue often, she went with us to pick out our rentals, and was available on email and video chatting to answer our questions all the time. The entire family also helped us feel so at ease on our wedding day. We felt like we were floating around in pure bliss every second of the day and they made sure we could be fully present and take in everything. Do not hesitate if you are considering this venue! There are only limited slots per year and its an absolute dream to be one of those special couples who get to get married here! We are already planning on going back through their vacation rental service for our one year anniversary! We could go on forever in this review we are so happy with everything! Thank you to Sydalyn Hill for making the best day of our lives more perfect than we could have dreamed of! We have made new forever friends with the Weisberg family and will remember this day forever!

The best venue!
Where do we even begin?! Our dream wedding was held at Sydalyn Hill this July. After our initial site visit, we knew we wanted to get married here. The breathtaking views, amazing space, and wonderful owners made our decision easy. Gwyn and Jonathan truly went above and beyond to make our day so special. Gwyn was our day of coordinator and graciously checked in with us throughout the planning stages to make sure everything was on track. She provided great suggestions and was super responsive and organized. The whole weekend, Gwyn, Jonathan, and the staff were rockstars. They helped us with preparation, set up, tear down, kept us + our vendors on schedule, and more, all with smiles on their faces. I was brought to tears when I saw everything pulled together during the wedding. We loved how much space the venue had for our guests to do different activities such as play lawn games, sit by the fire, explore the grounds, or dance the night away under the chandeliers. Our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about the property and the staff. We also highly recommend staying the weekend at the house on the property. We loved that we were able to have our rehearsal dinner at the venue on Friday night and soak in some extra time sharing stories of the wedding on Sunday morning. The house is also stunning and welcoming! Gwyn & Jonathan, we can't thank you enough for everything you did to make our wedding weekend so special. For all the future couples, we highly recommend checking out this venue. It was the best decision we made!

Stunning venue and professional/friendly venue hosts
We had an absolutely incredible wedding! We fell in love with the venue and grounds when we did a site visit. The views of the Santa Cruz mountains and the walnut trees with chandeliers hanging above the dance floor make for stunning pictures, and the house was a perfect play to get ready and spend the night.
The venue owners were super friendly, organized, and truly experts at what they do. They were very helpful in the process of planning our wedding. We tend to be indecisive, and Gwyn (coordinator and venue owner) was very helpful in checking in with us, offering lots of planning ideas, and helping us create a vision for our perfect wedding. They had lots of decorative donations from previous couples that we were able to use for free like parasols, chalkboards, dessert trays etc and this helped with our budget.
Perhaps the most valuable part of the wedding package was having Gwyn behind the scenes and steering the ship with her staff. She kept us on schedule, juggled all the vendors, did the setup/breakdown, and carefully managed all the small details that need to be done that would've been overwhelming if we were to be in charge of all of that! The wedding went so smoothly, and many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to!
