This family-owned-and-operated establishment is surrounded by Henry Cowell State Park and offers breathtaking views of San Lorenzo Valley. Facilities and Capacity

Sydalyn Hill offers endless outdoor options for a variety of wedding occasions, such as rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, and receptions. Couples can say ‘I do’ surrounded by the fragrance of flowers in one of the property’s beautiful gardens. Or exchange heartfelt vows among the vines of one of the site’s two orchards. The opportunities here are near endless for creative couples who wish to wed in nature. Guests can gather on the wooden benches that surround the crackling fire pit for a cozy cocktail hour, while the couple-of-honor enjoy creating their wedding photos nearby. The 1908 redwood cabin provides a historic backdrop for couples’ portraits, along with the many natural sites here. The 100-year-old barn here can serve as an event bar and beverage station for both cocktail hours and evening events. For a romantic reception, the luscious meadow can be styled as an outdoor dining space. Tables can be laid out in the couple’s preferred style and glittering chandeliers can be hung from ancient trees here. Edison string lights wind through the trees overhead and can cast a magical glow as guests drink, dine, and dance the night away. A get-ready room is also available to allow the wedding party to prepare for their day comfortably here.

Services Offered

Wedding occasions held at Sydalyn Hill will benefit from an array of styled services to facilitate stress-free experiences. Day-of coordination is included with the rental of this venue, along with experienced event staff. The venue provides a variety of tables and chairs, along with market umbrellas and eclectic dinnerware sets for up to 150 guests. A wide selection of rustic decor is available for couples to utilize for their event. This includes a wooden ceremony arbor, wine barrels and crates, wedding signage, candles, and centerpieces. Setup and cleanup can be provided for couples’ convenience and ample parking is also available on-site.

Our wedding and reception at Sydalyn Hills was incredible!

My husband and I started looking around March of 2024 for venues to get married in the same year. We live near Sydalyn Hill and knew it was a venue, but had never been and weren’t sure about availability. So, I set up a visit with Gwyn and discovered what an amazing property it is. And even better - they had availability in August! We had about 5 months to pull together a ~125 person wedding, and it went absolutely perfectly. Gwyn and Jonathon were super supportive, allowing us to visit several times, promptly answering questions, and being open to our ideas. We were required to use a wedding planner, and it was a huge help, making things come together way better than I could have done on my own. The views, facilities, and activities were incredible, and riding up to the ceremony in the old truck seemed to really surprise and delight our guests. Several folks said to me afterwards this was the most beautiful wedding they’ve been to. I would whole heartedly recommend Sydalyn Hill to anyone looking for a venue in the Santa Cruz Mountains; it was a beautiful, magical, extraordinary day for us.

Absolutely stunning

Every single aspect of our wedding at Sydalyn Hill exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, Gwyn and her family put their hearts into making sure our wedding day was perfect and that it really felt like "us". The venue itself is STUNNING, and with their new lower lawn, there are many options to customize your event. Our family and friends were blown away by the beauty of the venue.

My (now) husband and I live in Brooklyn, and Gwyn seamlessly helped us plan our wedding from across the country. She made the process so clear, fun, and easy from day one. We relied on Gwyn's recommendations for our caterer, rentals, flowers, and rehearsal dinner venue, and they were all absolutely phenomenal. She helpfully walked us through the tradeoffs of each decision, and helped us select the perfect decor, layout, and food. We were also working on a pretty tight budget, and Gwyn was very sensitive to that throughout the process.

My husband and I stayed at the venue with 4 close friends for two nights, which added so much to the wedding weekend. It was amazing to wake up at Sydalyn, and it was great to have downtime at the venue with our friends before, during, and after the wedding. We also loved that we were able to host the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one place -- this made it really easy for all of our guests to relax and enjoy the evening.

On the day of our wedding, the staff at Sydalyn Hill were incredibly attentive, comforting, and sweet. They seamlessly handled any issues that arose and were always quick to respond to our questions.

We feel incredibly grateful to have chosen Sydalyn Hill for our wedding. If you're looking for a gorgeous venue and a team that puts their heart and soul into making your day perfect, you can't beat Sydalyn Hill.

The Perfect Venue!

Sydalyn Hill was the best decision we made for our wedding! The venue is more than just a beautifully scenic place, it's filled with all of the love and passion that Gwyn and her family have put into it. From the moment we stepped on the property and saw the gorgeous view and met Gwyn we knew it would be our venue. Gwyn was our rock throughout the entire process keeping us updated, on track and not missing a single step. She and her families creativity and passion is in every detail of the property from the heated floors in the home to the garden that blooms year round.

The result was the most magical day of our lives. Everything was taken care of ahead of time so on the day of the wedding we were able to just relax, authentically share our vows with our loved ones and have a ton of fun dancing under the trees. Even when there were last minute pivots, Gwyn and her family were so patient and grounding amongst the wedding chaos. So needless to say we are so so grateful to have found this magical venue with Gwyn and her family who make it so special. We'll definitely be back to visit and stay on the wonderful property in the future. I hope you are as lucky as we were to book this amazing venue!
