Laura is amazing! We were so lucky to have a photographer who knew our venue really well and she was so personable. Communication from day one was great and she always responded right away. She also made the final weeks of planning easy, sending us a form with everything she needed to ensure we got all the pictures we wanted. Mike was awesome too- we had the pleasure to work with him for a few hours and the groomsmen all said he was so kind. They were a great team and kept us on schedule before the ceremony. Laura sent us several photos the next day and they’re amazing, we can’t wait to see the rest! So happy we booked Laura and Mike, truly the kindest people and so fun to work with!

Laura went above and beyond to make our photo shoot perfect. Our proposal was on the peak of Stratton Mountain and Laura met us on the top on skis to capture the surprise. She took amazing photos on the mountain and then at the base and turned around the full album to us extremely quickly.

I can't say enough good things about Laura. We had both our engagement and wedding photos and she was so fun to work with and willing to go along with all of our crazy ideas, from hiking a mountain with our puppy in tow to get the most AMAZING engagement pics, to helping usher our wedding guests to the ceremony spot when the bus dropped them off in the wrong place, she was there for us throughout the whole day. Our wedding photos are absolutely beautiful and my whole family commented on how professional and organized Laura was when trying to get large group photos. Highly recommend her for anyone seeking a wedding photographer in the vermont area!

May we introduce: Laura Swoyer. Probably the kindest, yet professional, human that we had the absolute pleasure of having be our photographer. We spent weeks emailing back and forth to get to know one another, for her to learn about our story and us as individuals and a couple, and then spent time on the phone planning our engagement shoot.

We spent a sunny winter day tromping around in the snow in Monadnock State Park laughing and twirling around on a frozen lake and in the trees. Her ability to capture pure unadulterated joy and candids is truly unmatched - while simultaneously having the photos be beautiful and professional.

Our wedding day felt like something out a fairytale - and honestly, thank goodness we have Laura's photos to prove is actually happened. From start to finish - Laura was a beam of positivity, kindness, humor, and professionalism - from perfect candids of laughter, happy tears, and my many faces at my new husband - to photos of each of our tables with us and our loved ones - to a photo she somehow was able to take that included all of our wedding guests (!) - to sneaky twilight photos that are so breathtaking we can't believe it's us...

Laura is great! She really tries to get you know you on a deeper level, when I first reach out she sent a huge questionnaire which I loved! She is so flexible, which was perfect. Our wedding was in Vermont and we are living in Colorado. We were able to coordinate meeting up when we visited in May. We met at a beautiful location and she took soo many more photos than I thought we’d get back! They were all incredible! Her questionnaire for the wedding day was perfect! Fast forward to wedding day, she arrived promptly when we agreed on and got right to work! Guests loved her and she did such an amazing job! We had our first sneak peak picture at 7:30 the next morning! We loved working with Laura!

We could not have found a better person to photograph our wedding. Laura was amazing when interacting with family members who were not familiar with the wedding process, and with those who knew a lot about weddings. She blended seamlessly into every interaction and was so friendly and helpful the entire time. We ended up having a change of plans last minute due to the weather, and she managed to get us all together to take different sets of photos with very limited time. She got photos that we didn’t even realize we wanted and was great with communicating during the process. She went above and beyond to make sure we were not stressed and the day proceeded smoothly. Our photos turned out so beautiful and “us” and our day genuinely would not have been the same without her. Thanks Laura!

She took the time to understand us, our style and vision from the very start. We were appreciative of the engagement photoshoot as a way to get more acquainted and comfortable. From there, leading up to and on the day of our wedding, she was professional, supportive, and even helpful in problem solving aspects of our set up for adequate lighting, etc. She's been INCREDIBLY flexible and understanding throughout this whole process and experience. In every interaction, you can tell her priority is to support those she's working with and bring ease to big (or small) moments for all involved.

We LOVED Laura. We got married during a very busy time in Vermont and upon chatting with Laura at Swoyer Photography we just knew she was who we wanted to work with. She was so open and kind and her entire vibe was friendly and warm. We went to VT over the summer to meet with her for our engagement session and had a great time. Laura is so great at putting you at ease...it isn't always comfortable being photographed! She has such an eye for beautiful shots and really makes you feel like she is a friend. She genuinely seems just happy to be there with you and it was a seamless process. She provides tons of pictures in your portal it's unbelievable. Somehow she even snuck in a printed picture of us to go on our table with the favors and guest book. What an amazing surprise that was while we were waiting for the other pictures. Bottom line, she is friendly, professional, kind and fun. Ten stars if I could.

I am so happy I found Laura!!! Not only is she a rockstar photographer, but she is also an awesome person! The first element that sold me was that she asked questions… (what is your fiancés name, where are you from, do you have pets, etc.) AKA she is interested in knowing who you are. Photography is a form of art and it is a form of expression. Therefore, it is important to know and care about your subject. Next, she offered us an engagement session. We did not have time throughout the year, so we actually did it for fun a month or two before the wedding. This was vital, because we got to meet Laura and felt really comfortable w/ her! When we reached out she described herself as laid back, but organized. This is correct. She will ask of you all the necessary info she needs and then take it from there. Planning weddings can be stressful enough, but you should feel safe w/ Laura because she is extremely reliable and she has your back. She made us comfortable and confident. She doesn’t need much from you, so you are able to enjoy your wedding. It is crystal clear that she is passionate about what she does. She captured all the special moments of our day and I am so grateful to have found Laura!!!
