Stephen has got to be THE BEST officiant. Not to sound biased but our ceremony was executed perfectly. Stephen provided guidance on building our ceremony and writing our own vows. He followed up several times over the months leading up to our wedding to make sure we were on track and not allowing us to stress at the last minute and not make well thought out decisions. Prior to the ceremony beginning, he explained to the guests the format of the wedding, and instructed them when to stand, sit, and not to use cell phones for photos. So many of our guests told us how much they loved Stephen and how great of a job he did. I would recommend him to anyone getting married.

An inquiry was sent on the availability for our chosen date, and Stephen’s response was immediate. He asked some questions to determine criteria to help plan our perfect, customized wedding ceremony. He made some recommendations on ideal locations, and his suggestion was everything we were seeking. Stephen made frequent contact and follow up, with rapid response time. He was extremely thorough, and detailed throughout; making sure we had everything we needed along the way.
Wedding planning can often be stressful, but with Stephen’s assistance, it was stress free. Stephen did an amazing job as officiant; the ceremony was absolutely perfect, and the evening is one forever etched in memory. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Stephen as our wedding officiant. He was very attentive to all the elements that we wanted (and didn't want) to be included in our ceremony. He and his wife joined us for the reception afterwards, which was great! We've seen other officiants at other weddings do their thing and bail immediately, so the fact that they stayed and ate with us gave it a much more meaningful and personal feel.

Stephen will definitely bust out his teacher voice for the rehearsal, which was absolutely required for our group of friends and family. It was very appreciated that he took the reigns and made sure everybody knew what needed to be done.

We were overjoyed that Stephen was our officiant! He was very responsive, thoughtful, and professional from the very beginning. He gave us helpful tips on how to frame and personalize our ceremony. Being an intercultural marriage, we wanted to incorporate a Chinese tea ceremony into our wedding to honor the bride's heritage. We were thrilled when we found out that Stephen actually had experiences traveling to China and had a good understanding of the Chinese culture and language! He wrote a wonderful introduction for our tea ceremony, and was able to incorporate both western and Chinese traditions into our ceremony. It was a perfect day! Thank you, Stephen!

Stephen was great to work with. We were planning our wedding from CT, but he easily guided us and gave thoughtful advice and suggestions to plan our ceremony. We even used one of the readings he wrote in the ceremony, which was great as we felt like we were getting a little personalization that our guests wouldn’t have heard at other weddings before.

I didn’t really start getting nervous until the night before but Stephen worked so well with our planners at Jay Peak to sort out the final details at the rehearsal to make sure everyone knew exactly what we needed to do - and our ceremony went perfectly.

We had both Stephen and his wife as guests to our reception too, which was fantastic. We had a very small wedding and the two of them fit in perfectly with our guests. They were out on the dance floor all night with the rest of the group and helped get others in the partying/dancing spirit too.

Everyone said our ceremony was wonderful, our reception was amazing and everything the whole day was perfect. Stephen was a big part of helping everything come together so smoothly and we’re so glad he was part of our day.

Stephen did an amazing job making our wedding a reflection of who we are. We told him from the beginning that we needed a ceremony that blended very different roots and he made it happen! He wasn't just a great officiant, but was a great addition to the memory of our wedding day.

Stephen married us this past August and he was fantastic! Always helpful with suggestions, and easy going to make sure the ceremony was just what we wanted! Great at communicating, and kind when it took us a bit longer to get back to him. The ceremony was gorgeous and just what we wanted! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Stephen! We got married in East Burke, VT and live in Connecticut. The first time I met him was on our wedding day when I walked down the aisle! We worked together via email and he always responded immediately and was so accommodating of our requests. My father brought him a poem to read that he wrote for us on the day of our ceremony and Stephen was able to make it work flawlessly and adjust his ceremony accordingly. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. He and his wife are the sweetest couple and we also enjoyed having them attend our reception. Thank you so much Stephen for making our day so incredible!!!! Our ceremony was exactly how we pictured it.
