Surety Hotel’s owners have brought one of the city’s most beloved landmarks back to dazzling life. The Hippie Building dates back to the early 20th century and is a stunning example of an early skyscraper. Its classic facade hides a newly renovated, design-orientated interior that provides a modern twist on classic, luxury decor. Rich materials of dark wood and gold combine with elements such as stately columns and marble fireplaces to tell a tale of the building’s past. The interior designers have introduced modern elements harmoniously, with clean-cut lines and minimalist touches seen throughout. The result is a setting that is impressive in tone and lends a tone of grandeur to any celebration it hosts. The Surety Ballroom is a welcoming setting for a party of up to 150 friends and family. Here, exposed brickwork meets decorative plaster-molding and creative light-fixtures to create a tone of upscale industrial chic. An adaptable venue, it can be arranged to suit couples’ needs and includes furniture rental such as table and chairs.
