Storytellers Museum & Hideaway Farm was originally built in the 1800s. It served as a general store owned by the Weems family, selling common trade items by the railroad tracks. Later on, Johnny Cash bought the property and built the stages to host small local concerts and facilitate the local music scene. He started “Saturday Night In Hickman County,” a local guitarists’ showcase. Cash celebrated his 20 years in the music industry at this property, footage of which can be seen at the Storytellers Museum. When Cash sold the property, it went through one other owner before being bought and restored in 2016.
