I've been what I would like to call a "photographer" for more than a decade with much varied degrees of intensity. There were days that I carried a camera and flash for so many hours that my arm ached with the weight of it. There were periods of time that and lived and breathed photos, and brides and contracts, so much so that I lost the art of it...And then there were days I put my camera in a pretty box and didn't let it out for weeks at a time.

I'm also what I would like to call an artist. Even more than a photographer, I would like to be an artist. You may notice a bit of that bent toward 'art' in some of my images here. I hope you see what I see in some of these photos. I see some that breathe with emotions and movement, some that stir something in my soul... and those are my favorites, of what I'm most proud.

There is waxing and waning in all this story of mine, a fullness and an emptiness of sorts. But that is how it is for everyone I think... and I think it's important to acknowledge all pieces of the story, not just the best parts, because we are all more complex than that.

So here we are.... on the cusp of a new thing and a new piece of the story...

When it comes to weddings and engagement photos, it's a huge deal and I don't take it lightly. I encourage couples to bring their creative ideaa--if they have them--and I will do my best to make them happen. I have my own ideas, but with weddings and couple pictures, a lot depends about the setting and the time of day. There can be so much variety in that... and often couples know much more about the setting they are bringing me to, and so their insight on that space is valuable.
