Once reserved for the enjoyment of an aristocratic Pasadena couple, the Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden has been re-imagined as a space to be shared.
Conceived in the 1930s as a private estate garden, and hidden from view for decades, an historic restoration brings new purpose to this place of special beauty.
For those seeking a unique destination for very special occasions, the garden is the perfect location for a variety of events. We invite you to peruse our website or click below to download our brochure. And we welcome your inquiries.

Hidden magical gem!
I have passed by the garden hundreds of times and I never knew it was there. When searching for a venue for my ceremony, the garden came up and we immediately went to check it out. My (now) husband and I are lovers of Japanese culture and this garden was everything we didn’t know we needed for our wedding.Sent on 06/28/2019
Deanie is amazing, very helpful and on top of everything from the very beginning.
Check this place out if you want something a little different for your wedding. All of our guests can’t stop talking about how amazing it was :)

While searching for wedding venues, we found Storrier Steans on Wedding Wire, so we contacted them and went to check it out.Sent on 06/15/2014
Upon walking in we were awestruck at the natural beauty of the gardens. It has multiple sections with streams, ponds and a beautiful tea house imported from Japan. Different plants and flowers were blooming, which just made it a stunning setting and we knew right away it would make the most beautiful wedding location.
We met with Deanie, the manager, and also Jim and Connie, the owners. All three of them are complete gems! They welcomed us with open arms, and instantly we felt like part of the family. They all were easy to work with throughout the 6 month planning process.
We had a guest count of 125, which the garden accommodated nicely. We set up our wedding on multiple areas of the garden, and it couldn't have worked out any better. (Ask them for details on our set up)
All of our guests commented how we had the best wedding in the most beautiful setting. That's such a huge compliment, not only to us, but to everyone at Storrier Stearns. They only started having weddings here a little over a year ago, so just about every guest had never been here, so it was a very welcomed surprise for them.
I couldn't more highly recommend Storrier Stearns Japanese Gardens for a wedding, event or even a visit the last Sunday of the month.
Thank you Jim, Connie, Deanie and Chucho!
