About
On WeddingWire since 2016
Stonewall Farms is a farm-style wedding venue located on the banks of the scenic and secluded Solomon Lake near Wilmar, Minnesota, that provides an extraordinary backdrop for a classic and private Midwestern wedding celebration. Its peaceful setting and simplistic elegance will make your big day truly a joyful and memorable experience.
Facilities and Capacity
Stonewall Farms offers unique indoor and outdoor spaces that are located on 80 acres of manicured grounds. The White Oak Barn is unlike any other structure in the Midwest and has been transformed from a Friesian horse breeding stable to an exceptional event facility. The upstairs loft creates an elegant ceremony site and dance location. The main level of the building includes a central aisle way for small group gatherings or rehearsal dinners.
The Pine Pavilion is the perfect place for hosting a truly fairytale reception. The space is brought to life by chandeliers and hundreds of feet of cafe lighting. It has a capacity of about 250 for dining and can be easily tailored to meet the specific needs of each event. The Pine Pavillion ceremony site is located in the heart of Scotch Pine Forest, where guests will be immersed in the beauty of native surroundings.

History
Bryce and Kim Holmgren purchased this property with the intention of developing it into a Friesian horse breeding facility. The first wedding hosted at Stonewall was in 2007, but the transformation into an event venue didn’t happen until the summer of 2010, with the completion of the White Oak Barn. The property still continues to add new additions and structures that will only elevate its setting and the events that it hosts.
