We really had a great time. Melissa and Lisa our day of coordinators were excellent! Melissa had to go out of town so Lisa took over. They were very responsive to every question I had. The entire staff was great. We wanted a small wedding for 50 people at a descent price and I think we picked the perfect venue! The food was great and they made sure everyone was comfortable. Everything was included in the package including the cake! We enjoyed the relaxing cruise along the Mississippi River.

We married on the Natchez Steamboat on 10/03/2009 It was the best night of my life! We had a wedding coordinator that worked for the Natchez and she was fantastic! Thanks Katie! It was definitely the wedding of our dreams! If you get married in the Magnolia suite and are thinking about getting a DJ, don't do it. We did and no one stayed in the room for the music the DJ played, everyone just went all over the boat. We wish we would've done the Ipod for our first dance etc. The captain was great, he kept us all laughing during the ceremony, food was fantastic! It was the most romantic wedding, I would do it all over again (of course with my hubby)!!

The Steamboat Company was amazing. When we booked our date and sent in our deposit our wedding coordinator kept in constant touch with us. Even when a Hurricane threatened to ruin our planned wedding, she constantly let me know what the Coast Guard was saying. We had our ceremony, reception and cruise all on the boat. It was amazing. One of my favorite parts was after the ceremony when public boarding began the boat played the wedding march.

Just a side note, it's Steamboat Natchez, not Natchex...that's ok. I would highly suggest them to anyone! For 5,000, my guests were fed an awesome meal with appetizers while we were taking pictures. Unfortunately, since booking the venue, we went through 3 wedding coordinators due to them leaving the Natchez, but in the end, Melissa was great! She really worked hard to make sure my day was special, and her professionalism was outstanding! I couldn't have asked for a better experience for me, my husband, or my guests! Everyone we have talked to loved it! And the cake company they use is outstanding-very beautiful and delicious!

Great wedding it was awesome..millisa was great but she had to be out of town our big day..so lisa was our girl.she was amazing..the money went spent was perfect..everything went perfect..our cake was amazing tasted amazing..me an my new husband had a blast make sure to get the picture package totally worth it..food was great..im so happy with my experience..i read some bad reviews don't listen I don't know what went wrong with those people s wedding but mine was a dream..Stacy Hebert

I chose the Steamboat Natchez for my wedding reception. I did not rent out a room on the boat because I had a small wedding of 14 people. Instead, I did a jazz brunch cruise and they arranged a whole table for my guests. It was budget friendly as they had group rates. Customer service worked with me and was especially helpful when I had to adjust the size of my party. They refunded me money without any hassle, and even checked to make sure they had the right size the few days before they could not refund me anymore.

The food was decent for a buffet. There was plenty of food and my guests seemed satisified with the selection that was available. Beware the Cajun Bloody Mary drink. They are spicy and one guest bought it without knowing it.

The music was very good and they had a live band playing. I had my first dance in front of the band and they announced my wedding afterwards. It made me feel very special.

The view from the boat is beautiful and if they give a tour during the cruise if you care to listen. It is very informative. The music and the tour was not too loud, so you could carry on a conversation.

The photographer wanted to get with me and the groom to take a picture somewhere on the ship, but she never did, so we ended up purchasing the picture of us they take right before you board. I wish she got to us in time for that picture. The boat and scenery would have been beautiful.

Overall, I think it was a very memorable time and everyone seemed to have fun. They told me it was a very unique reception.

I would never recommend this vendor. They ruined my special day. Melissa is the worst wedding coordinator. Nothing was as we wanted it to be, no one followed my wedding check list. Melissa ruined my wedding cake. She split the top layer of the cake due to being mad after I called her out for the cake not being like I ordered it. The cake was not decorated like I requested, nor were the flowers as I ordered. The private dinning room was not private, we had people interrupting that were not a part of the party, and no one stopped it. People coming into our area trying to drink from our open bar. The employees were rude. The Captain who married us, spit on us thru the entire ceremony. The music I had for our wedding was not followed. This was the worst experience. Every nightmare I was afraid of came true.

I do not recommend this vendor to anyone.. Melissa ruined my cake, actually split the top layer of my cake in half. The value is horrible, the Captain spit on us thru the entire ceremony. No one followed the time lines I gave for what should happen during the reception. We were never introduced, we did not get our dance until 30 minutes before time for us to leave the boat. The open bar was not as we payed for it. The employees in the "private" dining room were rude. The dining room was not private, we had people coming in trying to drink from our open bar, that were not a part of our party.
