Astral Acres is truly special, and was perfect for our 60-person wedding. We knew immediately when we arrived that our wedding would be beautiful and unique.

The house is very well designed for a large group of 12 to stay – the door to the living room closes off to provide privacy to those sleeping in the living room, and there are lots of hang-out spaces inside and out. The main bathroom is also accessible directly from the backyard.

The backyard was more than enough space for our 60-person event, and could host many more, so we were able to easily fit ceremony space, dinner and cocktail hour space, and a reception area. There was also plenty of space for 25-40 cars especially since we had someone helping with parking. We didn’t have to do too much decoration because the space was fairly lush and green even in July, and the trees provided a perfect natural backdrop for wedding photos. Taji’s sculptures complete the aesthetic of the house and the outdoor space. The additional fancy tent on the property was lovely and gave me and my fiancé some privacy away from everyone else staying on the property.

The ability to book a wedding venue for the whole weekend was very nice, it allowed us to have plenty of time for decoration and set-up and no rush in take down. If you are trying to do a wedding DIY – this is essential. The drive from Portland takes about 45 min – so the large capacity for overnight guests was ideal. There are only two indoor bathrooms, but it wasn’t too much of a problem with about 12 of us staying on the property the whole weekend.

Taji was very accommodating throughout the whole process. He allowed us to arrive early in order to meet the tables/chairs rental drop-off.s

Overall, the day was perfect and we are so happy that we chose this location for our wedding. We have lovely photos and even better memories!
