St. Stephen Catholic Church is a best-kept secret for a wedding ceremony! The church is located on Eastern Ave. in Cincinnati in Columbia-Tusculum. The church is beautiful with a unique painted fresco on the wall of the sanctuary, stained glass windows, and terrazzo floors. It is within minutes of several popular reception venues, especially The Carneige Center located next door, The Redmoor in nearby Mt. Lookout, Moonlight Gardens, and it's less than 10 minutes from the various venues downtown. The best part about St. Stephen's is the amazing musicians made available! Besides the standard keyboardist/organist, there is an acoustic guitar, harp, and violin players, all of whom are also excellent singers. They are knowledgeable in selecting church music, and are flexible if you select unique church music. The wedding planners love what they do! I appreciate that they had a unity candle and floral arrangements available for us to use at the altar. That helped us save money. The landscaping on the property and beautiful brick and soaring pillars made for some lovely photos we took before and after the ceremony. St. Stephen's has amble free parking, and a newly added main floor restroom for guests who are unable to use the steps to the regular restrooms. St. Stephen's surprised us with a goody bag that included a beautiful etched glass St. Stephen's plate, the history of the church, coffee mugs, and koozies! The church is absolutely beautiful, but all of the people from the parish who helped us prepare make this place special. Take a look! You will be pleasantly surprised!
