Reviews of St Peter's Episcopal Church

St Peter's was amazing. My husband and I walked in following a service, talked directly to the priest and told him we were looking for a place to get married and had fallen in love with Lewes (although neither of us were from the area). The priest immediately welcomed us and wanted to work with us. The church is simple in design, white walls with blue accents, amazing stained glass windows and a beautiful organ in the rear. The church seats about ~200 (that's my guess!) and was very cozy for our wedding, but everyone had a seat. We were able to do our premarital counseling with the priest and found him very welcoming and my husband enjoyed the experience (he was skeptical in the beginning). It did take a few phone calls to get things arranged (turned out someone with the same last name also reserved the church and then cancelled - a bit confusing for the office, understandably). We used the church's organist who played wonderfully and worked with our cousin who sang before the ceremony. My mother wasn't very excited about the graveyard in the front of the church but my husband and I liked the history

Overall, great experience, unique church and good people to work with.
