We got married in May 2023 at Spencer's, and we are so glad we chose this venue. We looked at many other venues in the Palm Springs area for our 100-person wedding, and Spencer's was our favorite choice. The location against the mountains is stunning for an outdoor wedding, and the ceremony lawn feels private and breathtaking. The golden hour lasts a little bit longer at Spencer's because it is so near the mountains.

The reception area (the Bougainvillea Room) is even more beautiful than it appears in photos. The rock wall, waterfall, fireplace, candles, and uplighting create a classy and elegant atmosphere. All of the vendors we interviewed were familiar with Spencer's and had worked there before, which made communication and planning much smoother. This is a huge advantage if you do not live in the Palm Springs area.

The food at Spencer's is delicious, as many other reviews have mentioned. Melissa, our wedding coordinator, was a joy to work with. She was attentive and caring, and we were very happy with her.

We highly recommend Spencer's as a wedding venue. It is a beautiful and elegant location with excellent food and service.

Where do I even begin!? It is really difficult to articulate your gratitude and appreciation for the people and establishment behind making our wedding dreams come in a brief review on a website but I’ll do my best. Brian Thorson is an absolute rockstar and a master of his craft. I have never met somebody in events/hospitality so calm, confident, knowledgeable, professional, communicative, attentive… I could go on. Navigating a wedding in the Covid climate is scary and daunting! From my initial out reach via their from my initial outreach via their website, he was immediately responsive and accommodating and made me feel more comfortable with the process. He provided a detailed breakdown of a few different options that were through and easy to comprehend. And let me know that there was flexibility with the final headcount which was a definitely a relief too. Other venues acted like it was pulling teeth to even get a rough estimate and were extremely insensitive and unreasonable regarding Covid. Not Brian and the Spencer’s team!! We corresponded a number of times and before even going to the venue; we knew exactly what we were looking at in terms of costs. The moment I stepped foot on the ground at Spencer‘s, I was immediately floored by the natural beauty of the landscape. The upper lawns and Bougainvillea room are truly a magical space nestled against the mountain. But it was when I met Brian in person, that I knew that this was the venue for us. He immediately put my nerves at ease with his cool confidence and hospitality. Over the course of the 9 months of wedding planning, he promptly responded to all of my emails and phone calls. He made me confident that he and his team would be able to seamlessly execute our wedding vision — enter Melissa White. Melissa worked closely with Brian throughout the process and was an absolute GOD SEND on the day off. Melissa, like Brian, is professional, responsive, and master executer. She has an incredible eye for style and perfectly executed my day-off vision. And she has a crazy keen sense of mitigating issues before they become issues. Our big day went off perfectly and largely in thanks to her. Talk about a boss. Brian and Melissa communicated with all of our vendors and made it possible for us to sit back, relax, and truly enjoy our special day with ease and excitement. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the food. OMG, the food. Everyone knows wedding food is rarely noteworthy. My husband and I are a big foodies and were pretty floored when we did our tasting. Surely the food couldn’t be as good when prepared for 100 people, right?! Wrong. It looked and tasted A. Maze. Ing. We we so shocked by the number of people who commented on how next level the food was. To say we are appreciative of Brian, Melissa, and the entire Spencer’s team (additional shout out to their amazing, warm, and friendly service staff) would be a serious understatement. My husband and I are forever grateful for them making our wedding an absolute dream. Stop racking your brain; you WILL NOT find a better or more beautiful venue in Palm Springs. Stop reading this and reach out them now. You won’t be sorry.

Absolutely perfect! We planned a cross country wedding for 40 of our friends and family members. From start to finish Brian & Melissa had our backs and made the experience 100% stress free! They were there for us throughout the entire planning process and executed every detail of the wedding to perfection! The location is undeniably beautiful, the staff was professional, prompt and courteous to our guests and at no point throughout the night did our guests have an empty glass! Food is huge for us, and let me tell you...the food was AMAZING...I mean AMAZING! We still have people telling us that it was one of the best meals they've ever had! We really cant thank the entire Spencer's team enough for making it the most perfect experience and day for us! They really went above and beyond and we will forever be grateful to them for that!

Spencer’s made our dream wedding become reality. I can compliment Brian and Yoanna (and their staff) enough! They were extremely kind, responsive, accommodating and flexible, experienced, and a lot of fun to work with. I had hired a wedding planner before knowing any better and ended barely using her because Brian and Yoanna did a way better job! No need for an additional planner when you have these two on your team! They made planning genuinely fun and I looked forward to our strategy calls or email exchanges.

As for the setting- INCREDIBLE!! I had been going to Spencer’s for years and had no idea how beautiful their event space was behind the restaurant. We barely spent any money on outdoor decor because it is already breath taking! As for the little pieces we brought in, Brian and Yoanna we’re flexible with whatever we wanted to do and even gave us great suggestions to help with flow and enhance our theme. The indoor space was the perfect size for our 140 guests, and a big dance floor, and our 7 piece band. Again, Brain and Yoanna were a huge help with the spacing of tables, colour coordination, and could offer great insight to how the space would feel.

A great surprise was the quality of the food. We obviously loved the food during our testing but when it has to be delivered to 140 guests you likely expect it to be just ok. Not at Spencer’s!! I had multiple guests tell me it was the best meal EVER! And I agreed- I thought as the bride I’d have a couple bites but ended up licking my plate clean. We gave our guests the option to choose the steak, sea bass, and mushroom vegan option. All were to die for and Brian made it all work even with us being 40 min behind schedule!

The entire event went without a hitch and was so enjoyable. I can tell that Brian has a lot of pride with what he does and it shows. A real professional and incredible event coordinator.

Spencer’s is the best and most elegant venue in the Coachella valley. Look no further and do yourself and your guests a favor by having your wedding at Spencer’s !

The new Special Events/Catering Director, Brian, started only two months before our wedding, which can make anyone sweat when they’re about to slide into home base, but we cannot imagine our day without Brian there. Our wedding went off without a hitch, the staff was FANTASTIC and I’d also like to keep Captain Diana, so she can organize my entire life every day. In addition, their pastry chef made our cake and it was absolutely gorgeous and delicious. Spencer’s deserves all the stars in the sky!

Jessica Baliff and the Specer's staff were amazing. From start to finish, they made the wedding planning process simple and the day wedding day itself stress-free. The venue is so special. It has old-school Palm Springs charm, with all the luxuries of a modern venue - and the menu is SO GOOD! This review hardly does Spencer's justice, so I will let my photos do the talking!

Spencer's is a fantastic, unique environment for a wedding! Everything went so smoothly; from the planning stages to everything on the day of. Ms. Jessica Bailiff is awesome, and runs the venue like a tight ship, but still appreciates the emotional gravity of the day for couple.

We were looking for a unique venue for our wedding of 140 guests - neither of us wanted a cookie-cutter, generic ballroom-style wedding. Spencer's really fit the bill. We loved the mix of outdoor space for the ceremony and cocktails, but indoors for the reception. You can blow your budget with flowers and decor, or simply let the beautiful backdrop of the San Jacinto Mountains speak for themselves. The layout of the indoor space is perfectly suited for a wedding of our size, and allowed one wing of the space to be utilized as a lounge/photo booth area. My friends and family like to drink, so it was also wonderful that the beverage packages were affordable and plentiful!

My one suggestion when considering Spencer's is to pay attention to footwear. The flagstones near the ceremony location are uneven and can pose issues for women in heels. However, with proper planning and caution noted to guests, everyone will be fine. I recommend buying flip-flops in bulk from Amazon (36 pairs in a variety of sizes cost me $100) and making those available to guests. No need to aerate Spencer's lawn or slip on flagstones!

As you can tell from above, we had a great experience and we highly recommend Spencer's.

Our wedding was a dream come true and I couldn’t have imagined it turning out any other way. This was in part to our wedding venue, Spencer’s Restaurant, and its incredible staff of Jessica, Dianna, Banquet Captain, the catering staff and Daniel from the valet.

We were drawn to the venue for its unique landscape, literally so many different levels to party! And eventually booked Spencer’s because of its unique look, its great and varied catering package and Jessica, the Catering Manager’s, prompt and easy going personality.

Our guests kept on saying how unique of a venue Spencer’s was and were blown away by the food portions how good everything tasted! The double-breasted chicken served during dinner was huge, the desserts from the dessert bar were tasty and the icing on the cake was the late night beef carving station with fries and the ice cream station. Our guests weren’t going home hungry, that’s for sure!

I cannot stop saying good things about Spencer’s Restaurant – From the very detailed and responsive communication from Jessica, to the tasty food, to the reassuring walk-through that Dianna took us through and the assistance she provided during our wedding weekend, to the management of our timeline on the day of and even the genuine care Daniel from valet took with our car. Part of the staff also created a mini replica of our ceremony arch to use as part of the cake display when it was found out that the larger one couldn’t fit inside the room. I was so happy and in shock that they actually took the time to create that!

The staff at Spencer’s Restaurant are true professionals and really go above and beyond to make your day special. Thank you for making our wedding a day we will never forget!

I have no complaints working with Jessica and the staff at Spencer's. Everyone was warm, helpful, and professional from the first day we visited, when enjoyed our complimentary meal, to the day after the wedding when I did one final sweep of the venue. Jessica was responsive to all of our questions and needs, accommodated our requests to customize the food and beverage menu. The food was delicious and plentiful. We not only felt like we got our money's worth, but that we chose the perfect venue for our special day.
