The Southgate Community Center is a multi-function civic center located at 301 West Walnut Street. A baseball field, volleyball court, walking trail/exercise stations, playground and fishing lake can be found in the adjacent park. The large hall is an ideal rental for weddings and dances. A smaller room is available for rental for birthday parties, business meetings and the like. A picnic shelter is also available near the playground/ballfield.

We wanted a small wedding with just close family and friends. And then a reception after with all friends and family. The Southgate Community Center was perfect for us. We had our wedding outside and the reception inside. Very reasonable pricing and so beautiful with all the windows and twinkly lights. We had a great time!

The staff was very nice and helpful. The Community Center gives you the opportunity to bring in your own food and alcohol, which is nice. The room has two full walls of windows, which looked beautiful in the spring. Diane made sure the windows were nice and clean for our wedding. She was nice and helpful the day of. We had a lot of leftover food, which she arranged to donate to a fire station, with our permission. We all had a great time and I'm really happy with our decision to use the community center for our ceremony and reception.
