Out of the 11 weddings we attended as guests in 2024, our friend’s wedding with DJ Ian really stood out – we had such an amazing time on the dance floor, which was packed the entire night, that we didn’t think twice when we decided to work with Ian and the Sound Insight team for our own wedding. Everything in the pre-planning process was so easy; Ian and Carrie were both so responsive and helpful. From the ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception, Ian ensured we had great sound quality, fun music, and entertaining MC work! We had so many of our guests tell us after the wedding that it was the most fun wedding they’d been to. Definitely book Sound Insight if you want to work with a great team of people and if you want your guests to have fun all night!

We cannot say enough great things about Ian from Sound Insight. From the very first booking conversation all the way through the last song of the night, he was absolutely incredible. He worked in all of our special request songs seamlessly and even made custom edits for our ceremony music that were so meaningful and perfect.

As a host, Ian set the tone for the entire evening—professional, fun, and completely in tune with the crowd. He kept EVERYONE on the dance floor all night long, from kids to grandparents, which is no easy feat at a wedding! The flow of the evening was smooth and full of energy thanks to his attention to detail and skill behind the mic.

And then there was the saxophone addition… WOW. The immersive experience of live sax with the DJ was mind-blowing in the best way possible!!! It took the entire reception to another level. If you are having a hard time deciding DJ or band, this really is the best of both worlds! Our guests are still raving about how it was the best wedding entertainment they have ever seen and I couldn’t agree more!

Out of all our wedding vendors, Ian was hands down the BEST to work with. His communication, flexibility, and talent exceeded every expectation we had. If you’re on the fence—don’t be. HIGHLY, highly recommend Sound Insight for your wedding or any event.

We had a excellent experience with Sound Insight! Our DJ, Eric, was super accessible in the lead up to our wedding and was always willing to answer our questions or provide thoughts on our ideas.

Eric knocked it out of the park on our wedding day and did a great job not only with the music for the ceremony but also with our reception music. He kept the dance floor going for pretty much the entire reception, which is exactly what we had hoped for! We received so many compliments from our guests who said they had a blast and that it was one of the most fun weddings they attended!

Our special day would not have been the same without Eric’s contributions, and we could not recommend him highly enough to others!

We are so glad that we hired Sound Insights to DJ our wedding! We knew as soon as we read the other reviews that we wanted to learn more, and our venue also highly recommended them. First off, the company is truly kind and professional. They always responded quickly and kindly. Even more impressive was that they automatically honored the price we were quoted even though we took a while to decide and didn’t until after they had updated the pricing for the coming year. We didn’t even have to ask or bring it up, and they reassured us that we shouldn’t feel pressured to make a decision for fear of the price changing. We hired Kris Plummer as our DJ, and it was one of the best wedding planning decisions we made. He was so kind and easy to talk to and communicate with. He answered all of our questions and did a great job providing recommendations whenever we asked. The custom first dance and parent dance songs he made were wonderful, and we really appreciated how patient he was as we decided a lot of our songs at the last minute. On the day of, Kris handled all announcements and make sure we stayed on schedule while also keeping our dance floor packed all night! Everyone still talks about how amazing the music and DJ were. We could not recommend Kris and Sound Insights more!

Oh my gosh!!! There aren’t enough words to describe our experience with Athens DJ— especially Ian!!! Ian was absolutely incredible! He met with my husband and I before the wedding to walk through exactly what we wanted and offered his own advice for fun and special touches to the night. The day of the wedding, Ian was amazing! It was storming and he was so flexible during the whole day while we were deciding between rain plans. Luckily it cleared up 30 minutes before the wedding and he was so amazing with moving everything around for the last minute change. During the reception, Ian mingled with all our guests and got an even greater idea of what to do to get everyone on the dance floor. He was so inclusive of all ages of our guests and was sooooo amazing about getting EVERYONE on the dance floor!! My husband and I have not stopped talking a month later about how blessed we were to get such a thoughtful and talented DJ. We highly, highly recommend Athens DJ and if possible get Ian!!! He will make your night one to remember forever!!

Sound Insight was a dream to work with from start to finish. One of the big things we wanted to prioritize in our wedding was the music; we wanted it to be a big party! Sound Insight made our wedding into an event that everyone keeps talking about. Our guests and ourselves spent the entire night on the dance floor because the music was just that good!! Our DJ, Kris, knew exactly how to read the crowd and use his skills in live mixes to keep the crowd energized all night long. Plus, Kris did our sound for the live music in the ceremony and it went perfectly. I can’t recommend Sound Insight enough for any couple that wants their wedding to be an unforgettable night.

An absolute MUST dream team for your wedding entertainment!! My husband and I knew from our first interaction with Sound Insights that that we were in good hands. Kris Plummer was incredible to work, from the very beginning. He got to know us (virtually) and tailored our music to our personal tastes throughout wedding ceremony, cocktail, and reception. He was truly a pro! We also hired the percussionist add-on.... IT WAS SO GOOD! It added a great live music element and was a huge hit. Our guests were of all ages (teens, mid 20s, middle aged adults, and seniors) and we had SO many people tell us it truly was the best wedding they've been to. From the music, the seamless flow of events, to professionalism, it was perfectly executed by Kris. David with Sound Insight made our wedding all we could ask for! He read the crowd and played great songs with great mixes! He kept the energy high and was THE best DJ we could imagine! He is very attentive and helpful! His organization skills are top notch! I would not recommend anyone but sound insight!!

I was already familiar with Sound Insight before we started wedding planning, and from everything I had experienced, there was no doubt that we wanted David to be our DJ. It also didn’t hurt that every venue we toured mentioned that David was the person to go with. We were NOT disappointed. We both felt like music was really important to us, and we wanted someone who could help create the party atmosphere we wanted. David was the perfect DJ for this; he really helped set the tone for every part of our wedding day. He had this really cool booth, he added lights when it was ‘party’ time, the sound was great, and he brought props! He was also way more than a DJ; he was an emcee that helped make everything flow so smoothly throughout the reception. And in the planning process, he was super organized. He understood exactly what our taste was, what kind of party we wanted, and even had suggestions for how to keep things flowing smoothly. There just so many extras with having David as our DJ. We loved having him there!
