Founded and established in 2008, through his passion, Jacob Lundy saw the need for authentic barbecue in the Orlando area.

Jacob established the presence of Smokey Jay's BBQ by catering small to mid-sized events for family, friends, and business associates. We have grown from catering personal events to large-scale, corporate events at venues such as: Walt Disney World, Harley Davidson, Bank of America, Chase Bank, and Boggy Creek Airboat Rides.

By combining traditional Southern recipes with our signatire cooking techniques, Smokey Jay's BBQ undoubtedly provides each guest with a one-of-a-kind experience that will last a lifetime. I discovered my love of events while planning social events and parties for family and friends. I decided to turn my love of planning from a hobby into a career!

The journey began over five years ago when I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Event Management from the University of Central Florida: Rosen College of Hospitality Management. While completing coursework, I continued planning events and also worked on building networking relationships and gaining more experience in the field. In order to stick to my guns and continue pursuing my dreams, I formally launched Sapphire Elegance Events in 2015.

I take pride in my designs to create a unforgettable atmospheres---bringing each client’s visions to life! I have positioned myself as a unique planner and designer in the Central Florida market. Because of my professional, organized, and innovative approach, I am able to execute events seamlessly and flawlessly!
