Smith Event Centers serves all wedding couples by offering the option of two charming wedding venues in Maryville, Tennessee. Our property includes a large outdoor pavilion and an indoor banquet hall, each with different amenities and party-size accommodations. We also offer a beautiful and picturesque historic bridge for our wedding couples to use for ceremonies, photos and elopements. Our newest addition is the outdoor Grandview Pavilion which just opened on October 2019.
Facilities and Capacity
Smith Event Centers offers our outdoor Smithview Pavilion and the indoor Life Event Center banquet hall. Each venue can host different size groups, with the Smithview Pavilion being the largest. It is a stately brick pavilion with a fireplace and our weddings are held in a large covered outdoor space with the convenience of an indoor kitchen and restrooms. Smithview Pavilion is situated on four acres of lush, green land to host your ceremony, with space for up to 200 guests. It has a rustic, southern charm with an elegant air. Smithview has a private suite dressing room (bridal room) and a separate private space for our groomsmen to utilize. The Hampton Hall is perfect option for rehearsal dinners, bridal showers and more intimate gatherings for up to 75 guests. The space has a fireplace, two private kitchenettes, and an outdoor side patio. The Life Event Center is a lovely all-in-one indoor setting for mid-size weddings of up to 120 guests. The venue space has room enough for both the ceremony and reception, including a dance area and table settings to serve dinner. Our venues serve all wedding couples, have paved level parking and are all wheelchair accessible.
Every wedding at Smith Event Centers is hosted by our professional staff. We welcome outside vendors, but also offer event rentals including decor, lighting, table linens and furniture. The Smith campus hosts any wedding event, including showers, rehearsal dinners, and engagement parties.
Smith Event Centers has four separate facilities all tied to the Smith Campus. This is located in the city of Maryville, Tennessee, conveniently located less than five miles from Knoxville McGhee Tyson Airport.

Lisa Gibson is a fantastic host. She made me feel so comfortable. She had great tips on what worked and what did not. I love the atmosphere at Smithview Pavilion. It is so beautiful and elegant. Smithview Pavillion is a must!
We toured Smithview Pavilion two weeks after our engagement. Lisa (the owner) was courteous to meet us on a weekend as our schedules didn’t allow to meet on a weekday. She was ready as soon as we arrived and greeted us with a welcoming smile. Lara (the coordinator/planner) was setting up for a wedding, and we briefly spoke. As soon as our detailed tour was complete I knew this was the place we were going to get married. Even through Covid, Lisa kept us updated and helped with any questions we had. They were gracious enough for our pups to come on the property for our day. Lara set up the reception and ceremony so beautifully, more than I could have dreamed of for our wedding. If anything went wrong, I had no idea because she was THAT on it. You cannot go wrong with Smithview. They genuinely CARE about you. You are not just a contract and a transaction to them. They know this is where your journey of marriage begins and make it so special. I can’t say enough beautiful things about this extraordinary venue. I’ve received at least 15-20 compliments on the ceremony, reception, and the flowers. You HAVE to use their florist. Bethany will make your dreams come true with her creativity. With a new Saturday wedding rental at Smithview Pavilion, we give the wedding couple their wedding night hotel accommodations at the Airport Hilton (or Hampton Inn). This is a $160 value.
