Erica was very kind and outgoing, and I liked the makeup that was done at my makeup trial. However, she never ended up doing my bridal makeup. I had her booked for my bridal makeup at 11am on my wedding day. Starting at my trial a couple weeks prior, Erica kept trying to push my makeup time up a bit. Her second bride of the day asked her to come earlier and requested an additional person to have their makeup done. I was of course trying to be flexible initially, but 11am was already on the earlier side for my 3pm wedding. First she needed to come “a little early”, and then needed to push it up to 10am which I reluctantly agreed to and then a few days before my wedding she said she couldn’t do any later than 9am and would only have 45 minutes before she had to be on the road again. Mind you this is a $450 makeup appointment. 9am just wouldn’t work for me, and created additional stress. I couldn’t be in makeup for 6 hours before my ceremony. Erica tried but couldn’t find anyone else to cover for her. She said it was fine if I cancelled but she would be keeping my $200 deposit, even though the contract explicitly states if she is unable to find a suitable replacement the full deposit will be released. To me this was completely unacceptable considering she overbooked herself and wasn’t able to honor her commitment to me. If she had told be 9am upon booking I would have hired someone else. This was a very unfortunate experience.
