Almost My Wedding Planner

I felt so lost when I started planning my wedding. In retrospect, I realize that I should have hired a wedding planner. But my coordinator, Kayla with Simply Southern gave me so much insight since I didn't have a wedding planner. If it weren't for her, I would have not known the reason that cocktail even existed (don't laugh at me), I would have not gotten a box for the top of my cake, I would have placed the tables and chairs in a horrible fashion for traffic flow, I would have forgotten to purchase a special cake and knife cutter. Honestly, the list goes on and on. I don't know if Chef Ken attends all menu tastings, but he is amazing. The food was amazing, the decoration was amazing. I can't thank you all enough for helping to make my wedding exactly what I wanted.

Such a blessing

Although I have not had my wedding yet, I felt lead to leave this review now. Planning a wedding has been one of the most stressful things I've ever done. I've already booked them, but I called Simply Southern with a few questions and they ALWAYS seem so happy to help. I sometimes feel embarrassed for asking some of my questions but they are always so understanding and even tell me why my questions aren't stupid. So the reason why I'm writing this is because I broke down crying over family stress with planning my wedding. I was so embarrassed. My catering coordinator helped me SO much. She calmed me down and let me know I'm not alone in these experiences. She even offered to pray with me which I gladly accepted. I hope I don't get anyone in trouble sharing that, but I can say that Simply Southern Catering isn't your normal company. Some companies are obviously all about the money. They operate differently. Tough to explain. They weren't the cheapest quote I received, but I'm getting SO much more. Oh, and the food and service at the menu tasting was hands down the best from all the others.

I couldn't wait

My experience was fantastic from beginning to end. Chef Ken worked my event and he's a WONDERFUL character and worked the room checking on my guests. I mainly worked with Kayla during the planning process. Just listen to her, she knows what she's doing. My wedding planner expressed that Kayla and Chef Ken were some of the best that she's worked with. I had a huge wedding with a lot of moving parts. They handled it with care. I even saw the staff helping my grandfather who is in a wheelchair dance on the dance floor! What catering company does that? 10's all around!
