Tina did a *stellar* job with my wedding makeup. I looked great, and Tina achieved the look I was going for (extremely natural and soft, yet finished-looking and photogenic). Different friends and family members remarked how they would overhear people talking about how beautiful I looked over the course of the wedding day :-)

I first got to know Tina’s vibe during the trial. You could tell she was very interested in makeup and thoughtful about what would work for different kinds of people and circumstances. When I asked her questions, she was able to articulate her approach and different decisions she makes in a way that clearly demonstrates her experience, expertise, and love for her craft. As a result, I felt very comfortable with her on the actual wedding day.

On the day of, Tina did the makeup and Linda did the hair. They both showed great versatility working on people of different ages, skin tones, and genders. I looked very natural, well-blended, finished, and “pretty,” the bridesmaid makeup was on point, and the moms looked great and felt good about themselves. And my husband, who is not normally a makeup wearer (!), especially appreciated how Tina was able to improve his complexion and accent his facial features for the day’s photographs without leaving him looking like he was wearing makeup.

We received our complete set of wedding pictures from the photographer and I photographed well in all the photos. The makeup lasted throughout the day such that I still looked great in all the selfies and personal pics I took with folks as the night continued. I continued to look good both in person and in pictures.

On the day of the wedding Tina and Linda were prompt and well-prepared. They kept a calm vibe as they efficiently did the hair and makeup. Tina did a great job of balancing and minding the timeline so that all the folks were finished when they needed to be. And Linda had a really nice way of engaging with the moms so that they felt comfortable.

To summarize, I highly recommend Tina and her team. She is professional, aesthetic, and fun (I liked her vibe!). I felt very comfortable in her hands, and had confidence in her that she would accomplish what I wanted. At the end of the day, I looked fantastic and everyone looked like an elevated, best version of themselves!

From our initial email, she was incredibly prompt with communication. I first knew that I had really hired the right person during my hair/makeup trial. I remember watching myself in the mirror and my jaw dropping several times after she applied one flick of product to my face, amazed at how she instantly made my natural features shine. I honestly have some of the same products she used but to much different effect in my own hand. She is incredibly attentive to detail which really gelled well with my perfectionist tendencies. For example, she took the time to meticulously curl each of my baby hairs so that they would fall in the exact right spot. I was actually awed to meet someone who had such a careful eye. She read my features well and knew exactly how to enhance it - e.g. noting that the space between my eye and eyebrow was a little wide and correcting that. That kind of knowledge was exactly what I had hoped for in a makeup artist. In fact, she did such an incredible job with my eyebrows, that I opted to pay extra for a dedicated brow session so we wouldn’t have to spend so much time on the wedding day. Honestly… I think - I think she changed my life, showing me the shape that really works for my face. It was well worth the extra money.

I will say the wedding day felt a little rushed. This was no fault of Tina’s as my people were running behind. So thank goodness we had done a trial so that there was no need for fine-tuning as she already knew what I wanted and what looked best. But it did make me nervous that my hair/makeup wouldn’t turn out as well as the trial. However, it came out beautifully and the mothers and groom as well.

In the end, I felt beautiful all day and despite crying heavy tears and my hair being whipped around in arctic wind, my hair and makeup still looked flawless at the end of the night. I wish I could have Tina do my makeup everyday. She is an incredible artist!

Tina was amazing! From the start, she was extremely responsive and straightforward about her fees. I appreciated that she had an in-studio option for bridal hair/makeup since I did not have a large bridal party. From the moment Tina started shaping and cleaning up my brows, to Linda fixing every strand of my bangs, I felt like they were enhancing me at every single step — not piling on product and telling me it'll look better in the end. I genuinely felt like I could have gotten up from the chair at any moment and still looked amazing.

And my makeup? It looked incredible both in person and in photos. I didn’t look cakey, heavy, or “overdone” in real life just so it would translate on camera. My now-husband couldn’t stop staring at me — and even weeks later, he still brings up how beautiful I looked that day. With everyone taking pictures from every angle, I honestly don’t think there was a single bad shot of me.

My mom and MIL also looked absolutely amazing. Doing makeup on a younger Asian woman is already an expert-level challenge in the Western beauty world. Doing makeup on older Asian women? Boss-level.
