I was a bridesmaid in my brother’s March 2018 wedding and needed some alterations done on my dress. I found Bev with Sew Defined here on this website and gave her a call based on the great reviews I read. The BEST decision ever! Bev is extremely friendly and I felt like I’d known her for years. She was able to take an idea that my husband had come up with- to use one of my own bras, cut the straps off, and incorporate it into the dress somehow— and she made it happen! It was a perfect fit. Bev is very thorough and very detail oriented- a true professional on all levels. And even though I had waited until two weeks before the wedding, she was still able to get the alterations done 6 days before the wedding! This woman is amazing. Her prices are extremely reasonable as well, especially compared to with what the bridal salon quoted me. I will only use Bev from now on for any alterations that my family may need.

I have known Bev for much of my life - and her daughter and I were on the same high school dance team of which Bev helped with costumes. When I wanted alterations to my wedding dress I knew she would do a wonderful job! She was very quick with the alterations, hemming a complicated 7-layer tulle gown, adding decorative buttons, removing an illusion neckline, and adding on custom flutter sleeves. My dress looked PERFECT. I can't thank her enough for her amazing work! <3

Amazing!!!!! The best work, the best experience, the best person. My day couldn't have been as great without bev's amazing work and dedication. Reasonably priced and responsive turn around time. Love love love this company and so blessed to have worked with her for my big day!!!!

Beverly was a pleasure to work with on my wedding gown. She was very patient and met with me several times to make sure we got everything just right. She's honest and will share ideas if she thinks something would make the fit better- for example she suggested adding some light padding to the bust because I wanted more definition. Ultimately, she will execute whatever you request but I appreciated her consulting with me throughout the process and providing her expert opinion. Her prices were very reasonable. She works from her home/ condo; the atmosphere is safe and professional. Beverly will communicate however you prefer- via email, phone or text and was always responsive. My gown was very fitted and lace, so I needed an expert and that is exactly what I got. She is extremely friendly and participates in several location charities- so you are supporting a great, honest business with this choice.

Gloria did an outstanding job on my gown! She was friendly, prompt, professional...and took extra time to make sure my gown came out perfect! My dress had a lot of ornate detailing, so it was no easy job. She helped me look beautiful on my wedding day and I am certain she will do the same for you.

So let me start by saying that Beverly is a God send. What this amazing woman does, she does with tremendous love and devotion. When I bought my dress I knew I would need to have major alterations. This fact, made me cringe and worry that my dream dress would fall short of its huge potential. I found Beverly through weddingwire, and as soon as I met her I knew I had met my dress savior.
She took me in, and with a fearless bravery revamped my dress to be my ultimate dream dress. She then took care of my four bridesmaids dresses, tweaking them to be the very best. She also worked on headpieces and trimmings that made a total package. In my journey, I couldn't have asked for a better person to make my dream day come true. Make Beverly your dream dress maker, you won't be dissapointed. ??

Beverly is amazing! My dress is all lace and not a single layer of tulle with a completely open back and I was so nervous to have it altered! I called Beverly and she immediately made me feel comfortable! She is extremely thorough and her attention to detail is amazing, not to mention her extremely competitive pricing!! She handled my dress with care and it now fits amazing! I cannot wait to wear it at my wedding!!

Sew Defined altered a formal dress for my daughter. Bev did such a great job that I have been a repeat customer many times over. This year she will be making custom dresses for my 3 daughters. Loves what she does

Beverly is very sweet and loves what she does. It was nice to be able to work with her one on one in her home office especially during Covid. Her prices are reasonable compared to many seamstresses and also a reasonable turn around time. I believe we did 4 fittings. I also had one of my bridesmaids get some alterations done, as well as a family friend. Beverly will not butcher your dress. Her methods are subtle alterations not drastic ones. She was able to sew a bra into my dress and dyed my corset ribbon purple to match my theme. I had a long train and unfortunately the bustle did not hold and was set too long. Beverly was quick to offer a reimbursement for this.
