Amenities and House Details

Floor plans and amenities provided are listed on our website. Our dining table sits only 6 people, however we do have an extension for the table that will allow for up to 8 dining. We also have a small table in our game room that could be utilized for added space as well as a small buffet/serving table. There is a picnic table for 6 in our courtyard with added lounge chairs and teak chairs as well as a set of TV Trays. There are a pair of Adirondack chairs in the back/oceanside of the house and on the rise next to the garage. We do not provide amenities beyond what would normally come with a booking of the home as a vacation rental.

Recent guest were amazed that even the contractors seem to build in hushed tones. Your understanding is appreciated as our community grows, and the location remains an ideal base for daytime exploration of the region's wonders. We wish we could edict that all construction takes place only during days that brings a full blue moon, but sadly, all we can do is give you advance notice.

Availablity and Booking

  • Visit our website, SeaRanchAbaloneBay.com/book-now, to determine dates available and pricing for your event and/or stay at Sea Ranch Abalone Bay. Pricing is dynamic and varies according to seasons.
  • The house must be booked for the minimum of days as indicated at the time of booking.
  • The Lead Renter will assume full responsibility for all members of the Rental/Nuptuials Group
  • Guest warrants that the Lead Renter is an adult, 25 years or older
  • We require a clear copy the Lead Renter’s government issued ID for our files (e.g. Drivers License, Passport ID page)
  • Upon acceptance of this Agreement, the Lead Renter will be charged Full Payment for the entirety of Guest’s reservation stay, including:
    (1) a 12% Sonoma County Transient Occupancy Tax and
    (2) a 3.5% Sea Ranch Association Guest Assessment
    (3) Other associated fees (e.g. dog)
  • Guest acknowledges that late cancellations or early departures do not warrant any refunds of rent or Initial Deposit.

Consideration of HOA and Sonoma County Short Term Rental Regulations

  • Lead Guest and any invitees of Guest must comply with all of the House Rules, HOA Rules, and Sonoma County Regulations
  • Total number of attendees during the ceremony is limited to 12 attendees
  • No more than 6 guests as listed on the contract may stay past 9 PM / overnight at the house per our Sonoma County Short Term Rental license
  • Noise must not exceed 50 dB
  • No added lighting due County regulations and the region being a dark sky location

Ocean Front/Beach Permitting & Regulations

Please note you will be required to obtain aSonoma County permit if you wish to hold your ceremony on one of the six public beaches that they manage. You should start that process at minimum a month in advance.

If you desire to hold the actual ceremony on the water's edge, you may need to contact either Sonoma County Special Permitting or The State of California.

Guest Passes to Access Private Trails

Guest passes for you and all your guests are needed to access any of the private trails; hold the ceremony on the bluff; or access any of the private beaches below. Typically home owners may provide up to the total number of passes authorized for their house. For instance my house sleeps 6 people, therefore I'm allowed up to 6 passes. If your added guests are also renting a home at The Sea Ranch they may utilize their host's guest passes for access.

Parking

Typically there may be no more than two cars seen outside on our property - one added car may also be parked in our garage for a total of 3. Should you expect more cars arriving, our parking area could accommodate up about 4-6.

Any cars parked on the street will require parking hang tags. We provide 2 parking tags. However, you will need to make special arrangements with The Sea Ranch Homeowners Association Office if you need more. They will coordinate any additional parking passes you would need and alert security to be aware of your event.

Wedding Plan & Design

Should you decide on our home as your venue, I am available to discuss with you possible options and/or DIY ideas to assure our location works perfectly for your special day's vision. I require a detailed wedding plan/design prior to your event. You will need to make your own arrangements for decorations and added service,table cloths and/or wedding decor details. I can direct you to local vendors if you need assistance there. Restrictions may apply.

Again a reminder that our community is a quiet one respectful of the beauty and peacefulness of the surrounding nature. Your wedding event will be required to honor and respect the nuances of nature. And speaking of nature, be aware our location is a natural setting. While our fenced in courtyard is groomed, our surrounding land is not. There is a reason our tagline is "Experience nature at your doorstep." That is the beauty of The Sea Ranch.

Signed Agreement and Liability

As a vacation rental, we prefer our guests not rearrange the furniture. However, to accommodate the ceremony and/or reception you may, with a signed agreement, rearrange the furniture as long as all items are returned to their original location undamaged. Be aware you will be held liable for any damage incurred to the property and our return of all our home's contents to its original location.

Food Preparation/Catering

While our kitchen is small, we have many cooking tools and appliances, ceramic dish-ware and other normal kitchen eating supplies that can be used for your reception for your special dinner. We can also recommend local catering services as well. I can also recommend a local sommelier for regional wine choices. We do not provide added dishes, service ware or utensils. However, you may rent them locally or bring your own.

Proof of Third Party Liability and Insurance

While our insurance policy includes coverage for small wedding events, it does not include workers comp coverage. For that reason you will need to provide me proof of any third party vendors (caterers, bartenders, etc.) license and insurance.

Clean- up and Added Costs

You will be responsible for general clean-up after your event. Because your event would be small, your check-out expectations are the same as they would be for a vacation booking. However, should our housekeepers require added time for cleaning you will be charged accordingly. If you wish to hire our housekeeper for immediate post event cleaning, that can be arranged as well.

Note that our weekly garbage/recycling is scheduled for Tuesday. We are allotted 2 cans each of recycling and garbage. If you exceed this you must deposit it on your own or will be charged accordingly
