Michael is really great! He is very good at capturing peoples' emotions and faces! His pictures are truly telling stories and have the spirit. Very professional! Meanwhile, working with him makes our day very easy and relaxing. He knows what he wants and does not require us to posing for special figures! Highly recommend him!

We first met with Michael to get coffee and instantly clicked. We had just relocated to OKC from DC and I found Scissortail Stories on Instagram and stalked his work. We were looking for a photo journalistic approach to our wedding and our goal was to have photos we could look back at and re-live the experience - not just pictures of people smiling at the camera. We've gotten back our preview gallery and are so thrilled with what we've seen so far! We're also planning a trip with Michael to an outdoorsy location where we get back in our wedding clothes and take some fun photos without the stress of getting to a reception - such a fabulous idea (his!)!! Overall our experience was awesome - he was responsive to emails, loves to meet in person, took notes, talked through our vision, asked the important questions, made solid recommendations, and is also just a really cool guy that will make a great addition to your wedding day. Oh and his pictures are absolutely amazing :)

Michael Weidemann from Scissortail Stories shot our wedding and he was amazing. I first reached out to Scissortail Stories last fall when my now wife and I first got engaged. I'd been following Michael's work on Instagram and I knew right away I wanted him to shoot our wedding. Being a photographer myself, this was one part of our wedding that was particularly important for me. Michael was the coolest and most fun person throughout everything. He even met up with us for an engagement shoot in Oregon.
I picked up Michael from Seatac airport near Seattle, WA and together we took the short ferry voyage across Puget Sound to Vashon Island, WA where our wedding was to be held. We had a great time talking about all things photography, Pacific Northwest, and Oklahoma City. Not only is his photography and story telling ability top notch and extremely tasteful, he's just a super cool guy. Very humble and easy to hang out with.
Michael spent the weekend at our sides, even helping out with some heavy lifting for our wedding the day before. On the actual wedding day, he remained calm yet excited and energetic all day while making sure we were getting the shots we were most interested in capturing. It wasn't even noon the day after our wedding when Michael sent me a link to a set of 20 or so photos he had already processed and put up on his website for us to share with our friends and family.
Michael has become a friend of mine over the past year of planning this wedding. And even more so after having him travel out to capture our special day. I can honestly say that Michael is a class act gentlemen of the utmost talent. He's a true friend and I genuinely hope we get to hang out more in the future. Michael is truly the most talented photographer--and hands down the best choice we have made in all of our wedding preparation and planning. Michael shot our proposal in OKC and our engagement pics in New Mexico, and I can't wait for him to shoot our wedding in Arizona. He is so flexible and accommodating, and he readily agreed to follow us out of state to bring our vision to life. His pics are an absolute dream, and I am so blown away.
