Sanctuary Events

Sanctuary Events is a historic wedding venue located in Plainfield, Illinois, and just west of Chicago. Nancy and Mark have headed this family-owned and operated property since 2019. This duo opened this industrial-chic venue with the goal of making the planning process stress-free for couples. This allows lovebirds to truly be present on their special day with their loved ones and not have to worry about the behind-the-scenes details.

Facilities and Capacity

Outside this property, a wrap-around patio with string lighting welcomes visitors. The indoor ceremony space at Sanctuary Events can readily host up to 175 people. Once a couple has exchanged their vows, they and their guests can head to the beautifully crafted bar for an elevated bar service for their cocktail hour and enjoy dinner in the main room. Once the staff has finished reorganizing the ceremony room into an epic dance floor, the newlyweds and guests may dance the night away!

Services Offered

Nancy and Mark have built a team of individuals who are excited to help couples preparing for weddings. The Sanctuary Events staff understands that there's one wedding day with no do-overs, and they are committed to making each romantic celebration truly remarkable. They offer a range of items to facilitate celebrations. These include hand-crafted wood tables mixed in with round tables, Chiavari chairs, a rolling bar, a grand piano, and other furniture pieces. A private parking lot and a shuttle bus to make life easier for all guests in a downtown location. Uplighting and dance room can lights can add to the reception atmosphere. The best part- ALL of your setup and clean up is taken care of by the Sanctuary Events staff.
