BEST cake I have EVER tasted! We chose to have a small cake and served the guests pie to go with the theme. But, the cake was so good we had to allow everyone to have a slice. It was so gorgeous (matched our invites perfectly) I didn't want to cut it!

I discovered Sacred Sweets from a bridal show I attended in Greenport. I really enjoyed the taste of their desserts, especially their cake pops, so I decided to incorporate three flavors of cake pops in addition to a dozen "S'mores" on a stick, which are a great idea for not getting you hands dirty, into my Viennese Table! They were very popular with wedding guests of all ages, and I am very happy the Maitre D' snuck some into our to-go box! The service was excellent and prompt, very friendly and pleasant people to work with. I will definitely be visiting Sacred Sweets again!

My husband and I searched high and low for the perfect wedding cake. After about 8 different tastings we decided to go with Sacred Sweets because we loved their cake pops and thought the design work was beautiful. We traveled from Manhattan to Greenport to meet with the owner, Miche and design our cake, 4 tiers with waves of fondant and a lotus. Even though we thought the the price was a bit steep we were willing to spend it because the cake would be displayed throughout the night.
Wedding night comes and low and behold I look over to see a squatty plain 3 tier cake. I was embarrassed to have it displayed it was so small. It was really, really upsetting considering we drove so far to design this cake, spent $1200, and had high hopes. Not one person complemented positively on the cake and a few people even told me it was plain looking. It didn't even taste good.
8:30 in the morning after my wedding I call Miche and said to her "you delivered me a cake I didn't order." She asked what I meant and I told her we ordered a four tier cake, the bottom being a large styrofoam tier covered in fondant. She tels me to hold on and went to check the contract. When she came back on the phone she said, "oh yeah your right." Basically I was met with apathy and she was not apologetic in the least. She callously said "what would you like me to do." I felt like saying, "how about reading your orders and contracts before starting a cake." In fact she took the time to defend the wedding cake instead of smoothing things over with an irate bride. She was so aloof I was in shock.
My wedding coordinatore later told me the person she sent to deliver my cake (who I paid $150) didn't even set it up. A venue will not touch a cake due to liability of dropping and from my research when a bakery delivers they are supposed to set it on the cake plate. Apparently this caused a big problem with the venue.
A total unnecessary and careless mistake took away from my wedding. Beware: Business owner has no customer service or attention to detail.
Oh, and out of spite, the next day she posted pictures of my cake on facebook I guess to get some "likes." The picture actually looked 10 times better then the real deal. Big mistake, go with someone who wants and appreciates your business.
