We had our September 2025 wedding ceremony & reception at the Rye Tavern, and we could not have been more happy with it. It's an absolutely beautiful restaurant, with a farmhouse-y vibe to the building and a gorgeous kitchen garden. The restaurant has a pretty outdoor bar and patio, and our guests loved having outside fireplaces to sit around in the evening. Tia, the manager, was so flexible and easy to work with throughout the whole process. She made everything easy. Every time we asked for something (e.g., setting up at a specific time, using their walk-in to store the cake the day before, switching up menu options, etc.) the answer was always "you got it!". We had more people than could comfortably fit inside so we used a tent, and Tia handled the tent/chairs/lighting rental, which made it super easy (and surprisingly affordable compared to tent rental quotes we heard at other places). A wonderful thing about using a restaurant as a venue is that so many things were included and we didn't have to worry about-- linens, food, seating, etc. And, of course, the food was incredible. Everything was delicious and felt seasonal and special. The chef was so flexible with letting us choose what we wanted. The entire staff was warm, and made the whole thing feel easy, happy, and celebratory. The pricing was transparent and felt super reasonable. None of the options or things we asked for had any additional charge— everything we had hoped for was included in the original estimated quote that Tia gave us, which ended up being spot-on to the final total. We really could not recommend the Rye Tavern enough! It exceeded our expectations, and we feel so lucky to have worked with them for our wedding.

This was the most amazing experience. This Service - Event Planner - Erin was amazing, so personal & caring. Waitresses & Bartenders - all great . Chef - Andrew - sat will us and wrote a menu just of us.
Professionalism -Everyone was professional but also personal. They felt like family by the time of our wedding
Value - you can't beat the food and atmosphere for any price
Flexibility - we did had to make a few last minute changes all were accommodated.

Highly recommend this restaurant for all dining events! We absolutely love this restaurant for dinner, but also chose Rye Tavern for our Rehearsal dinner venue. Their team did a fantastic job for our dinner -- I can't say enough great things about that amazing night! Erin and her team did an amazing job with the decor for the dinner, customizing our menus, decorating the tent, etc. The food was also amazing and the service and timing for the food was excellent. Amazing night hosted by an amazing restaurant and team!

I had my wedding at the Rye Tavern this year and have some cautionary tips for soon-to-be brides considering this venue. I LOVE the Rye Tavern and would not have changed my venue in retrospect, but be aware that the Event Coordinator is a pain to work with. She is scatter-brained, unprofessional, careless and disingenuous. Plus, she's the only one that deals with events, so there's no one else to turn to when she won't answer you or fails to follow-up with you. Just be aware that when you start working with her, you will basically do her job for her.

There are so many event professionals in Plymouth who could really build up the wedding business for the Rye Tavern and do a much better job than her. I've spoken to many people in Plymouth who feel the same way about her work, so I know I'm not the only one who had a bad experience.

However, ?I must say that ALL OTHER STAFF at the Rye are lovely, kind and fun. It's just one person who wrecked the experience for me.
