Based in Pleasanton, California, the 6-person Ruby Wedding Band plays weddings throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California and features the vocals of recording artists Andreea Keller and Philip Sullivan. Lead Singer/ M.C. Phillip Sullivan has "officiated" as M.C. at 250+ weddings on the East Coast and West Coast of the U.S.

Ruby Band's repertoire is aimed at the age group of the wedding party, and includes rock classics, current pop tunes, and R&B hit, but on the song list are many songs that will appeal to guests of all ages.
The band focuses on dance songs from the 80's, 90's, and 2000's. The band also features a very entertaining Dinner and Cocktail Hour set, and can provide acoustic instrumental music for the Ceremony.
Ruby Band is experienced in the nuances of wedding planning and working with you and your Wedding Planner. The band will tailor their setlist to fit the mood of each event. Included in the base fee are Master of Ceremonies services from the band's male lead singer/ guitarist and M.C. extraordinaire Phillip Sullivan. Extended M.C. services cover every aspect of a well planned wedding including Bride+Groom grand entrance, Bride+Groom 1st dance, other special dances (Bride+Dad, etc), Introduction of the Toasters, Cake Cutting, Bouquet Toss.

Andreea is a singer, songwriter, pianist who is originally from Romania where she received degrees from the University of Oradea in Vocal Performance, and Opera, and toured throughout Europe before coming to the US in 2010. In 2017 she won the Akademia Music Awards in Los Angeles for Best Pop Ballad, “Look At You”. Andreea is an amazingly versatile singer who performs a dinner set or cocktail hour singing classics by Etta James, Patsy Cline, and Billie Holiday; then at 7:30pm energizes the dance floor with Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, Taylor Swift, Pink, Sia, and Rhianna, mixed in with power ballads by Christina Perri, Ellie Goulding, Lady Gaga, and Adele.
Phillip is a singer, songwriter, guitarist who gained national acclaim in the 1990’s with the band Flame which recorded 2 albums with Warner Brothers Giant Records. In Ruby band besides singing iconic songs by Journey, Bon Jovi, and Guns ‘N Roses; and current pop songs by The Weeknd, Post Malone, and OutKast; he is a Master of Ceremonies Extraordinaire: conductor of the event, introducing guests of honor and toasters, and inspiring the crowd into putting out more on the dance floor than they knew they had in them! In Ruby band and his previous band Hot Sauce Phillip has played 500 weddings, corporate events, and private parties on the East Coast and West Coast of the U.S.
Composer and veteran keyboardist Joel Weingarten has been playing since the age of seven and has recorded and performed with various bands throughout the Bay Area and on the East Coast (Boston & New Jersey). It was on the East Coast that he performed with his sister who later won the talent award at the Miss New Jersey pageant.
He arranges orchestration and vocal harmony and served as the Composer for the musical screenplay, “Colette”. He serves as the business manager for the band, and is one of the main contacts for bookings along with Phillip Sullivan and Andreea Keller.
His major musical influences are Elton John; Bon Jovi; Brian Wilson; Rod Argent; Stevie Wonder; The Doors; Mark Ronson; Queen; Jimmy Webb; Carole King; Whitney Houston; Toto; Earth Wind & Fire; Chicago; The Eagles; Gladys Knight; Barbra Streisand.
