Welcome to Rivets and Roses Photography!

Rivets and Roses is a wedding photography studio, located in the heart of the NE Arts District in Minneapolis, with a one-of-kind approach to helping you find your perfect photographer. Our studio features the work of five amazing and experienced photographers, each of whom has a very unique style.

Our hope is that you look around, browse through all of the gorgeous, varied portfolios and find yourself the perfect photographer for your very best day.

Our goal here is to have fun – to really connect with our clients and document this special part of your life along the way. We believe in relationships and truly building those with you.

THE STUDIO //

In your search for your wedding photographer, you might have come across other photography 'studios'. We are a little different here at Rivets and Roses and here's why:

- We have 5 unique photographers, all with different styles. This ensures you find an artist that you absolutely love.

- We are affordable. All of our prices range from $2700 - $3800.

- We care about quality. All of our photographers have years of experience behind the camera and our studio staff has been in the wedding industry for 10 years!

- Most of all, we want you to have an amazing experience. We believe that your wedding photography experience is not only on the day of your wedding, but rather from the time you meet with us to the time you receive your final products. We love to get to know our clients, spend time with you and get excited to document your day!

So easy to work with!

We hired Melissa with Rivets and Roses to photograph our engagement photos and wedding. She has been so wonderful, she feels like having a friend you can count on, who has amazing skills and talents with her camera and approach...I don't know how she does it but she is able to capture us in a way that looks completely natural, it felt so easy! I look forward to updating this review after the wedding!

Thea Volk was our photographer and we cannot recommend her more highly. Thea made my now-husband and I feel so comfortable being photographed. She was the best balance of directive and fun. We first had an engagement session, which was a fantastic way to get to know Thea before our wedding day--I highly recommend an engagement session. Our engagement photos were so much better than I ever could have hoped, we were so pleased with them! And our wedding day was just fantastic with Thea. She is such a joy!!

Our photographer was Thea Volk - she was fantastic! She made sure that we looked our best and went the extra mile to accommodate our special requests. We were in communication with her extensively via email and phone and she was always very responsive. Thea was also a joy to work with - she was really invested in our wedding day & what would make us happy.

We got all the pictures we wanted from the wedding, and they look fantastic. We couldn't be happier with our wedding photos, and we recommend Thea in the highest possible terms.

I absolutely loved my entire experience with Rivets and Roses. From start to finish, they were professional, timely with emails and communication (which was important to me), and very reasonable with pricing for the amazing quality we received! Our photographer was Thea Volk and she did a fantastic job with our engagement and wedding photos. She was particularly talented with my (now) husband, who hates getting his photo taken. She met with us in person before we even hired her to make sure our styles matched well and took us out for a drink to get to know us better (such quality service!). We have so many wonderful shots of our special day! There was a small mix-up with the order of the photos when they delivered them to us (it really was not a big deal, all the photos were included, simply out of order), but the team at Rivets and Roses felt so bad they sent us several free prints - truly, it was service above and beyond. 8 months later and I am still getting compliments on our wedding photos. I was so happy with Rivets and Roses and especially with Thea Volk!!

I worked with Maggie and Spencer and we had an amazing experience. We've only done are engagement photos so far but we had so much fun taking the pictures and I absolutely love the result. The quality is superb and I am so excited to get more great shots next year at our wedding!!!!

Leslie Plesser from Rivets and Roses was an outstanding photographer and she captured such amazing moments from our big day. She wasn't a "hokey" photographer at all, using her creative eye to capture beautiful candids and action shots, as well as composing group shots in an elegant and unique lens. I loved spending the day with her and most of the time you didn't even know she was around...I couldn't offer a better recommendation.

Simply put, Natalie Finazzo was one of the best aspects of our wedding. Everything we asked for she gave us...and then went above and beyond what we could have ever imagined. The photos were amazing. We also changed the date on her and her reply was, "absolutely no problem". We had wanted a lot of candid photos with a few structured shots...She gave us exactly that and did it with a smile and a lovely attitude, making everyone feel at ease. We all had a blast while posing for pictures, I remember laughing a lot, everyone was laughing a lot! She was creative and intuitive and LISTENED to what people were saying. During the ceremony I had no idea she was even taking pictures, then we got the album and realized she was catching some of the most intimate moments of the ceremony. Words cannot express the love and gratitude we feel for Natalie. She truly is a rare-find. A gem. An artist. We LOVE LOVE LOVE her.

As soon as I got engaged, I knew that I wanted Natalie to photograph our wedding. I've also liked her creativity and she really has the eye for unique and fun pictures! We were extremely pleased to say the least! Natalie spent the entire day, from the moment I put our make up on, until the last dance and captured some great shots! She also had some really fun ideas that I would of never thought of! I HIGHLY recommend Natalie for any photography projects. She did an outstanding job and I am so happy she was included in our specil day!

Rivets and Roses provided two photographers for our wedding day! They were punctual, friendly and fun! Desiree could not have gotten along with my friends and family any better! Everyone felt comfortable with her around and the smiles were beaming! The quality of photographs we received were amazing and are treasures! Any photographer you choose from Rivets and Roses will be a great choice!
