It was great!

Dee did a great job of having flexibility with my wishes. She made a beautiful backdrop for the main table and overall it was very affordable considering the number of guests.

The ceremony on the dock was absolutely beautiful . The staff did an amazing job

Perfect memorable and affordable wedding!!

The owner, Mrs. Dee is very personable from beggining of the wedding planning till the day after the wedding. Knowing Mrs. Dee won’t make suggetion to make money, but to make our wedding image to the reality at affordable price made us very comfortable through out the planning. All workers were also great decorating the lake for the wedding (it was perfect!) and reception room, and providing great service throughout the night. We didn’t want to be cheap on drinks, so letting us bring all alcohol drinks was excellent!! We also wanted to have a kids-friendly wedding with indoor bounce house and toys - it all came true with Mrs. Dee’s support. If you like to have a great memory with close friends and family members, we recommend meeting Mrs. Dee!

Family Reunion Fun

My family of about 30 had a lovely evening at Raymond House. The food and service were excellent. I couldn't believe the price I was quoted for such a large amount of food. Dee was so gracious by allowing those who wanted to linger to continue hang out by the pond even after our scheduled meeting time. I highly recommend Raymond House to all who are interested.

It was great but could've been better.

Dee and Terry went to great lengths to make my day great. I can't say enough about the decorations and all the details they put in. I will say my guests and I weren't impressed with the fried chicken. It was very dry and almost inedible. The lasagna was top notch. I was also very unhappy I overpaid by 12 guests for the buffet yet I had almost no food left over. A guest had told me she witnessed staff carrying out way more food than what was returned to me at the end of the night. I would recommend their venue in the future but be careful of using the outdoor facilities in the late fall. It was way too cold inside for my guests.

Stay clear and don't book raymond house and campground!

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding in May. I was told the place was not in the best shape. Nothing, absolutely nothing prepared me for what happened when I arrived the day before the wedding to help set up and attempt to make this hell hole presentable to have a wedding at.
1st-the signs of where you're supposed to go aren't clear at all. There is a giant pot hole on the drive in.
2nd-about 5 dogs are able to roam freely inside and outside of the Venue and they are not tethered (except the blind one). The big black dog came charging at me as I walked up, but, I had to ensure I did not leave my back to him and I love dogs! This one didn't make me feel welcomed, owners said the dog was fine and would not bother me.
3rd- you walk into where the bride and bridesmaids were to get ready at and bam! You're hit in the face with an awful smell: mildew, mold, pet urine, smoke, and rotten something. There was dust, cobwebs, and the table cloths were dingy and dirty.
4th-you go to the side where the Venue is at and you're hit in the face with a similar smell-only worse than the other. We bought plug Ins to attempt (key word) to trick the nose, but, that did not work at all! The chandelier lights didn't all work. The tables and chairs were gross. The chair covers were dirty and stained. It didn't seem as if anything was laundered or cleaned.
The owner said they used simply green to mop the floors, but, That won't help with the smell or the overall appeal to this place.
5th- no internet or wifi connection available.
6th-dead bugs in the serving place for the food. 3 refrigerators and 2 had a brown/black film in them with mouse droppings in it. Yes, you read that correctly-mouse and rat fecal matter. The owners wanted us to put OUR FOOD in there to be served the next day. Nope, we said we will put it in a different fridge, which was still bad.
7th- the price $1,400 to rent the Venue- says $500 for a wedding and $500 reception on this site-so, something isn't adding up properly. Then can we talk about all of the extra charges-chairs, the stuff on the chairs, and the things you can't move so you're charged for that too. I believe between Bride and Groom and Matron of Honor this Venue swindled approximately $1,800 from good people and kept it all for profit.
I wish I could give a negative star review. Do yourself and your pocketbook a huge favor and avoid this place. Spend your money elsewhere. I'm sure at one time, this place was absolutely beautiful. In 2023 it is not. I'd never attend an event here again. The owner and her niece are unprofessional and rude. The owner came in during the wedding reception and took pictures. We tore everything down and picked up after ourselves. There was a trash can that had molded something in it and there were flies and wasps in there. There is a poor health rating. The pictures you see on this website aren't what you look at when you arrive to the venue.

Absolutely Disgusting

Lord, I wish I could give this so many negative stars. This place was beyond disgusting. From the Horus death smell, to the dogs walking and peeing all over. The kitchens, fridges - so gross. Something clearly died in there, apparently it couldn’t live off mouse droppings. Yes, you heard right. They had 3 fridges. 2 of them had rotten food smells and mouse droppings. The other fridge was like their personal fridge, it was also gross.
The food bar had dead stink bugs in it. There was rotting food in the reception room. Wasp had actually started making a home. This place was like walking through a morgue/antique hoard house. And it smelled like it too. So gross!!
The outside - truly had potential. But - seeing peoples RVs and homeless tents, not really for a wedding backdrop. It looks nothing like the pictures. Maybe in its prime this place was nice, but ewww.
The pricing!! The bride paid $1,400 for the venue. I paid $350. I had to beg to take any old nic nacks down. I was charged for using their gated back drop thing. (See pics) I didn’t want to use it, but the owner said it’s too heavy to move so it stays there. It’s $10 to use. Are you kidding me!!! The chair covers were $3.00 each, and $2.00 got the blue sash. These were so gross we didn’t use them. They were covered in all sorts of stains, clearly never heard of bleach. There was absolutely no internet access. The company phone and money station, whatever you want to call it; had to be left out during the wedding. I unplugged it because I couldn’t take the phone anymore!
And just too add some proof of how truly disgusting this place was - See attached health inspection from February of 2023! I hadn’t seen this before the wedding day or I’d had been horrified and not wasted so much money! This place is absolutely unbelievably disgusting. Please please don’t book here. Never eat here. Never ever pay any money, ever! They didn’t care about any of this, they were upset because a bridesmaid was angry.
