The Best Buttercream Wedding Cake That Tastes Even Better Than It Looks

Nicole was so wonderful to work with. I was specially looking for a baker who decorates cakes using buttercream and not fondant. I came across Purple Cow Cakery and fell in love with the designs. Nicole was so accommodating and flexible. She created the perfect lavender themed cake and macaron tower for our wedding and captured the Bridgerton essence with her dessert creations. It tasted better than it looked! She provided the best suggestions and recommendations for our dessert station so we went with lemon cake and blackberry frosting. It was so so good and all of our guests made sure to save room to enjoy the desserts. We are so happy with how everything turned out and can't wait to continue eating our cake to remind us of this day. Thank you so much!!!

Amazing presentation AND taste!!

My experience with Nicole was amazing. She went above and beyond to deliver the most beautiful and delicious cake for my Civil Wedding ceremony during the pandemic. Initially, she had presented me with a vast list of flavor options for the cake/filling. She was very helpful in recommending the most chosen flavors. Nicole was on board with my vision and made it a reality. The most interesting aspect is that she uses 100% organic ingredients in every one of her masterpieces. In fact, she accommodated me with an eggless option. My cake was not terribly sweet, it was just the right amount! After the wedding, I was bombarded with compliments on how great the cake looked and TASTED!...That's very rare to find nowadays. I will definitely be using her services for my reception party next year! I 100% recommend Purple Cow Cakery.

Absolutely stunning and DELICIOUS cake

This was one of the best cakes I've ever eaten in my life. I don't even like cake all that much - and I saw myself and our 80+ guests fighting each other for seconds. It was beautiful, moist, and extremely flavorful. The ingredients were very fresh. Nicole uses all organic ingredients too. Do not hesitate to ask Nicole to make an amazing cake for you. She was professional, and very responsive. She brought our vision to life with a beautiful three-tiered cake. I will go to her for ALL future custom cakes I need in the future. We had amazing flavor combo - Vanilla Swiss almond cake with strawberry purée and lemon Swiss meringue buttercream. It was OUTSTANDING. Thank you Nicole! Delivery and setup was easy as well.

Here is the review I wrote for Google and I would shout it from the mountaintops if it would help since I am not exaggerating when I say that PCK's cakes are the best I have ever had, ever!

I admit, one of my least favorite things about going to a wedding is having to politely nibble the all too often dry, nearly flavorless, over iced, wedding cake which everyone knows is much more about looks than taste and everyone is forced to eat lest they risk specter of bad fortune visited on the bride and groom. My wife and I agreed that we wanted something simple, beautiful, elegant, and, above all, delicious. Not an easy task with a cake that needs to feed so many people. Nicole delivered on all counts! Most of the people at our wedding said that it was hands down the most delicious wedding cake they'd ever had. More than a few people said it was the most delicious cake they'd ever had, period!

My cake was everything I imagined and more. It perfectly fit our wedding theme, was beautifully elegant and delicious. Our caterers told us so many people requested 2 slices they started to get worried. I have already recommended Nicole at Purple Cow Cakery.

I've been in customer service and sales my entire professional life so when it comes to it being my turn to be on the receiving end, my standards are very high. Plus, I like to eat and I love cake. Most wedding cakes are basically gaudily decorated edible cardboard made to prop up a plastic bride and groom. If that's your thing, then I think you should find another cake maker. From the very first contact I was extremely impressed with Purple Cow Cakery's customer service, attention to detail, and genuine passion for making great looking and tasting cake were evident. A few dozen people at my wedding said that the cake was not just the best wedding cake they'd ever eaten but it was one of the best cakes they'd ever eaten, hands down, period! Worth every penny and then some!

Nicole made a beautiful wedding cake for my brothers wedding last Fall. To this day, my family remembers the cake as one of the highlights of the party! Who knew a cake could actually steal the spotlight from the special couple.

Our cake was amazing!!

Nicole was super professional and very responsive. Our cake was sooooo delicious, we wanted a Navy Blue cake to go with our theme and Nicole suggested a Blue Velvet with a white chocolate ganache (I think lol)- anyways it was amazing- super moist and delicious. I think the design could’ve been a bit cleaner but honestly it was a beautiful cake and her prices were pretty reasonable. Not to mention they use quality ingredients!! I’d book her again for sure.
