Esther is a really amazing photographer! I could not recommend a vendor more!! She did both our Engagement and Wedding pictures and she made both sessions easy, fun and very comfortable for two people who are not photogenic at all. She really listened to our visions and ideas of what we wanted our pictures to look like and made them come to life; more beautiful than we ever could of imagined. Both Esther, and her assistant Tashia did such an amazing job on our wedding day! Anytime we wanted a picture taken, one of them were right there taking it before they were even asked! We are ecstatic and thrilled with our images of our special day, and we will treasure them forever! My husband and I got married at a beautiful vineyard in the Hudson Valley. It was a second marriage for both and we were looking for someone who would be flexible and take interesting, unique shots without charging us a fortune. My husband found Esther Joy (owner/photographer of Project EJ) on Craig's List. We went to her website and loved her work. We spoke and set up a meeting. Esther met us with her assistant Tashia. They looked like teenagers, but don't be fooled! They were smart, lovely, creative, professional and we hired them on the spot. Esther showed up with her laptop and samples of different types of vineyard shots to share with us as inspiration for our shoot. On the day of our wedding Esther and Tashia were fantastic! They worked under some tough conditions including oppressive heat and humidity and fainting bridesmaids. The net result of all this was phenomenal photos! Everyone who has seen our pictures raves about them. I am amazed at how beautiful and closeup many of the candid shots are, considering I don't remember being aware of Esther and Tashia being right there taking pictures, which is exactly the way it should be. I am so pleased that we took a chance despite people telling us we were crazy to go without a personal recommendation. We went with our instincts and it really paid off. I cannot recommend Project EJ highly enough. Thank you Esther and Tashia for capturing moments that we'll treasure for a lifetime...
