We had a small amount of money leftover from the big savings on my dress. I thought it would be cool to have some live music for our ceremony. The harpist I had in mind was too expensive and I had given up. A friend recommended this cello player from a wedding she attended. She is in the wedding business and kept his information for future use. I googled him and saw him on YouTube. He sounded great, like my friend said.
I called him and had a hard time understanding him, his English is not well. He told me to text him the details of my event and I did. I also send him links to songs I wanted and he said it wouldn't be a problem. I also asked if he needed any equipment and he said now. I gave him the phone number of my wedding planner and told him to call her the day of, if he had any questions.
The day of the wedding he called me several times while I was getting ready!!! He was late and didn't have enough time to set up. He needed to use the DJ equipment!!! I think he played like 4 songs (according to the guests because I didn't hear it). After the ceremony he went to stuff his face at the cocktail reception and then came to find me for his payment with crumbs of food all over his face and clothes.
His prices was within my budget but at the end of the day he didn't give me what I paid for.
