Shane & his lovely wife, the owners of Photography by SB, were so amazing as our wedding photographers. My new husband & I needed a photographer for our ceremony & reception on fairly short notice; we decided to move our wedding from Nov to May & plan it all in around 7 weeks, but I still wanted a beautiful day with all the things you expect at a wedding.
I was able to find Photography by SB after I filled out a request for local wedding photographers & he reached out. I liked everything he had to say &bit was an easy decision to hire Photography by SB & ask them to be part of our day.
We had a few conversations before the wedding, including a video chat, & he stayed in touch by email & text. I really felt like Shane wanted to understand exactly what we were envisioning for our wedding photos & make sure he captured our day the "right" way.
I've heard horror stories from a few friends about their own wedding photographers sticking them & their families into a cookie cutter molds, not getting their input about what they wanted; they ended up feeling like they were just rushed through a bunch of poses used for every wedding their photographer took on, but that didn't work for their's at all. You won't have that experience w/ Photography by SB.
We chatted for a half hr via Zoom the week before so he could go over pointers w/ us, ways we could help him get the best photos. Where & when to pause for a few seconds, things like that. He asked questions about how we met & the overall "vibe" we wanted for the day, if we had any specific pictures we wanted or any spots at our venue we wanted photos at. We made a list of what photos we wanted after the ceremony (ie- Couple with whole bridal party, couple with Bride's Parents, etc) to make things go quickly & smoothly that day.
Shane & his wife did a great job of directing us & getting us into poses so the photos would come out great. He captured all of our guests & all the important moments. All the photos came out beautifully, focused well with proper lighting.
Their fee was reasonable & well worth it. We will go back to them for any future photography needs & will recommend then to friends & family too.

Friendly, and flexible with odd schedules.

We could not be happier with our experience with Shane. From the original booking to the actual wedding, everything was professional and seamless. Shane kept in contact with me throughout the entire process, from the booking to the uncertainty of the venue after the storms, making me very comfortable with my decision. Since we were on the beach, we had some unwanted bystanders that we could not help, along with the rain that came through. He was able to edit the unknowing people out of our photos and captured the beauty after the storm. He caught many moments the beautiful couple will cherish for years to come.
