My names is Jake Sorensen. I was born and raised here in the wonderful state of Utah. Growing up in a very active family I learned to love the scenery, people and cultures of all the places we traveled to. After getting an associates degree in business from UVU I went to BYU and majored in Film and Media Arts. After school I began my production company Perfect Pictures Entertainment and am primarily a film producer.

I have always loved photography but did not do anything more serious until 2010. That year I had the opportunity of traveling to Botswana Africa on a safari. I couldn't go to Africa without getting a better camera. Once I took that first plunge I was addicted. I also quickly learned that camera equipment is very expensive and my pocket book has never been so light. While I love film producing, it is a highly stressful and business oriented job. Photography lets me jump deeper into my creative side and rejuvenate my soul.

I particularly love natural light photography. Even though I have a home studio I prefer not to use it if there is the option of an outdoor shoot. Working with a landscape and natural light can make for an incredible photo. Check out my galleries to see for yourself.
