About
On WeddingWire since 2021
Pasque and Pine is about complementing the beauty of your love with the surrounding area of the beautiful Black Hills. Nature is so delicate and beautiful like the pasque flower, just as your love is towering and bold like the ponderosa pines.
My approach to wedding photography is very similar to the process I follow in adventure photography. There are very specific moments that hold a lot of energy, and my goal is to capture those raw emotions to transport you to that moment in time. From hanging off the edge of a cliff, to saying I do. These experiences hold so much power and beauty, and I want to go on that adventure with you.
Services Offered
Every wedding package includes a one-hour engagement session, backup shooter, online gallery, USB, and a custom wedding portrait painted of you and your loved one from local Black Hills artist Shalayne Mowry!

Sarah has had a knack for photography and design her entire life. She received a BFA in Graphic Design at Black Hills State University. She loves capturing those sweet candid moments with thoughtful framing and color. She always dreamt of being a wedding photographer at a young age and loves every moment of it. Since 2019, she has professionally shot weddings throughout central United States. Being an avid rock climber, she travels and shoots adventure photography in the Midwest and Western United States.
Sarah has created Graphic Design work for clients ranging from West to East Coast! Her thoughtful use of layout and color creates unique designs that stand out against competing brands. Her main goal when creating each design is to capture your brands essence while captivating your audience. She works at her local rock climbing gym as a Graphic Designer, Route Setter and Coach.
Ian grew up exploring his creativity through art and music. As an avid rock climber, Ian started his photography career capturing mountain culture in the Southwest and the Black Hills. His keen eye and use of framing and perspective contribute to the unique intimate moments he captures. He enjoys candid photos that encapsulate people's personalities, along with vast landscape shots.
Aside from working as a photographer, Ian teaches guitar, bass, and ukulele. He also works at the local climbing gym as a route setter and kids coach. Ian loves to share his passions and sense of adventure with others.
Shalayne has been working as a professional artist since 2018. She has done a range of custom work for clients in addition to selling originals and prints on the side. Her custom work includes portraits, landscapes, murals, album art, and book illustrations. Shalayne is excited to encapsulate the magic of your wedding day through a stylized portrait of you and your partner. In most of her work, you can see that she is inspired by our natural world. The same applies for her wedding portraits as she incorporates florals or the scenery from the couples' wedding day
Shalayne's style has evolved over the years by way of her experiences, interests, and studies as a professional artist. You will see the influence of her experience as a live painter in her intentionally energetic marks; the influence of her illustration work in her use of color and medium, and the influence of other artists such as Klimt in the way she adorns her portraits with floral and shapes. If she's not in her studio painting, you can find her rock climbing or hanging with her pup, Nora!
