My husband and I were married at Parador Nature Resort & Spa on November 15, 2025, and after looking through all of our photos and reliving the day, I can honestly say that I would not change a single thing. (I have been waiting to write this review until I received all of my wedding photos back, which is why it is a little delayed).

I remember being hesitant to book my wedding here because they did not have very many photos of other weddings or reviews about weddings so I truly hope I can help the next Pura Vida bride with this review and these photos. To sum it up, words will never be able to describe how perfect our day was, and it was all thanks to Parador and their amazing team!

From the moment we decided to get married at Parador, the entire team went above and beyond for us. Planning a destination wedding in Costa Rica while living in the United States, speaking English, and booking a venue and hotel that we had never personally visited before felt overwhelming at times. On top of that, I am a very Type A bride who had a million questions, a million requests, and approximately a million documents to send over. The team at Parador never missed a beat. They were incredibly responsive, helpful, patient, and accommodating throughout the entire process. When I was communicating with other hotels and venues in Costa Rica, sometimes even getting a response was difficult. That was never the case with Parador. They made the entire process so much easier than I ever could have imagined.

My guests were required to stay at Parador for the wedding, and I am so happy they did because every single person had nothing but wonderful things to say about the resort. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, and there is something so special about staying somewhere surrounded by nature. Everyone got to see sloths and monkeys on the resort grounds almost every day, which was such a fun and unique experience for our guests. The grounds are gorgeous, the atmosphere is incredible, and it truly feels like you are in a little piece of paradise.

As for our actual wedding day, I cannot say enough amazing things about the entire wedding team. They accommodated every request I made, including some that were definitely outside of the ordinary. For our ceremony, I had my heart set on a very specific area of the beach that was difficult to access, but they made it happen anyway. They truly did everything they could to make my vision a reality.

One of my favorite examples of how much they cared about the smallest details happened with our light-up wands for the dance floor. I had brought them for our guests, but when they arrived, I realized that the light strip extended out from the stick and into the gold tinsel. I was worried that, with everyone dancing and swinging them around, someone could accidentally get hit in the eye. I wrapped the light strip around two of the sticks myself and asked that those two specific wands be given to the only two children at our wedding. The team absolutely could have just done what I asked, but instead, they went above and beyond. They individually wrapped the light strips around every single wand so that none of them would be a danger to anyone. It was such a small detail, but it meant so much to me because it showed just how attentive and thoughtful they were.

Then came our wedding day, and of course, it poured rain. I was determined to get married on the beach no matter what, and somehow, the Parador team made it happen. They provided umbrellas for all of our guests, did everything they could to keep the chairs dry, they got a tent for the DJ set up, and made sure everyone was taken care of. I have to give a very special shout out to Yanina for also helping me carry the wedding dress train and my veil to avoid having it drag in the rain. Between her and Alison, I was consistently blown away. I will truly never forget all of their help and kindness.

At the last minute, our photographer and videographer asked if they could bring a content creator. The Parador team was incredibly helpful in making sure he could enter the hotel without any issues, and they even offered him a meal. It was such a sweet gesture and another example of how they constantly went above and beyond to make things easier for us.

The team also handled hiring and coordinating all of our vendors, including flowers, the DJ, servers, bartenders, transportation, and more. This was truly invaluable. Trying to coordinate all of that from another country would have been incredibly stressful, but I always felt like everything was in good hands and having one point of contact made everything more manageble.

My main contact throughout the planning process was Alison, and I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She was absolutely incredible from beginning to end. She made everything feel seamless, handled all of my questions and requests with so much patience, and made me feel confident that every detail was going to be taken care of. And she was right. Everything was taken care of. On our wedding day, I was able to relax and enjoy myself because I knew Alison and her team had everything under control. I should also note that I left a suitcase full of items for the wedding day with her on the day of the rehearsal, and she set it all up without issue! Did not forget one thing and it all looked perfect!

Yanina was also absolutely wonderful and such a huge help, especially on the wedding day! The wedding team manager, Marianella, and Kristel from the Weddings Department were also both such wonderful support people throughout the process. I am beyond grateful to every single one of you.

The food at our wedding was also UNREAL. I honestly did not know what to expect, but I still have guests talking to me about how incredible the food was. Chef Rodrigo deserves a huge shout-out. He actually introduced himself to my husband and me at the wedding, which was such a special and personal touch. I could immediately tell how much pride he took in his food, both in the taste and the presentation. And I have to mention the gold coffee bean on the tiramisu because it was such a beautiful detail and matched our vibe perfectly. My guests have literally told me it was "the best tiramisu they have ever had." Everything was absolutely delicious.

I also had a very specific idea for our reception. I wanted to do a conga line that passed by the bar, where everyone would have a Miguelito shot waiting for them to grab as they went by. I was so nervous that something would go wrong or the timing would be off, but of course, the team absolutely nailed it. The shots were ready, they were delicious, and the entire thing went perfectly. I think all of our guests thought it was one of the most fun parts of the night!

I also want to recognize the incredible people who helped make our stay and wedding so special. From the Maintenance Department, I was assisted by Mr. Luis, the department manager, along with Mr. Jorge, Mr. Fran, Mr. Bismark, and Mr. Alexander. From the Public Areas Department, I was supported by Mrs. Rosalia, the department manager, as well as Mr. Rafa and Mr. Christian. From the Food & Beverage Department, I want to thank Mr. Luis Villalobos, the manager, Chef Rodrigo, our wonderful bartenders Guiselle and Jefry, especially for the coconuts, as well as Mr. Giuseppe and Mr. Felix. From the Transportation Department at Quepos Verde Aventura, Mr. May, the department manager, was always there to help us with all of our transportation needs and made everything so easy for us.

To every single person mentioned here and to all of the people behind the scenes whose names I may not know, thank you. Truly. You made our wedding day what it was, which was absolutely perfect. If I could get married all over again, I would not change a single thing. I would choose Parador, Alison, Yanina, and this entire team over and over again, even the rain :). They took care of every detail, every request, every last minute change, and every little concern with so much kindness and professionalism, but more importantly, with genuine care.

If you are thinking about getting married at Parador, just book it. If you are thinking about staying at Parador, just book it. You will not regret it. The resort is beautiful, the location is incredible, the food is amazing, and the staff is truly what makes this place so special.

Parador gave us the wedding of our dreams, and I will be forever grateful to everyone who helped make November 15, 2025, the most perfect day of our lives. We came home with the most beautiful memories, the most amazing photos, and so much love and gratitude for the people who made it all possible. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Parador. I LOVED having our elopement here! When I messaged I was connected with Madai who does events at the hotel, and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She helped us from beginning to the day of, assisted in choosing all the things like flowers and venue. We had a small elopement but we saw the venue for the larger weddings and it was so so beautiful. Added bonus that people can stay on the property and the hotel is pretty amazing. Food is delicious, pools are so beautiful, monkeys and sloths everywhere, and the people who work there are so kind and attentive. Can't say enough good things about this place. Highly recommend!

Parador Resort & Spa went ABOVE AND BEYOND in planning our wedding. I worked with Harold, the wedding coordinator at Parador for about 6 months and he was super professional, flexible, creative, intelligent, and really the most compassionate human being. I mean he was so patient with all of our needs and desires as a couple looking forward to have a destination wedding. When I say he went above and beyond, I mean he helped us with pretty much EVERYYTHING including the food menu, floral decorations, cake, bouquet, ceremony and reception setup, music, lighting, guest list, and last minute party favors, etc.

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and smooth sailing thanks to the staff at Parador. Harold and his team made adjusted to any changes or last minute requests with absolute grace and treated us so well. The food was soooooo delicious, the chef personally introduced himself to us during our lunch reception and made sure we liked it which I thought was just so thoughtful and professional. And after the wedding, everyone went to the beach and spent more time at the many pools and spas at Parador.

Everyone is so welcoming- there wasn't a single staff member that didn't have a smile on their face. Even my family especially my parents couldn't stop talking about the friendly and helpful staff and cannot wait to go back there. We were in such good hands and would definitely recommend 10/10 to anyone else planning to hold their wedding here or even just stay here for a couple of days!

Our wedding was a small, bride and groomgroom only affair. The staff at the Hotel Parador where very courteous and friendly; they were also very attentive to our needs. The whole day (wedding ceremony, photo shoot, dinner) was planned with our approval. I would not hesitate to recommend Alfonso Peraza and his staff to anyone looking for an event planner. He is very helpful and highly motivated to make the event go smoothly and according to plan.
