When we were looking for a wedding photographer, we knew that we didn't want someone to shoot stiff "glamour shots" of us all day long. We wanted candid, yet touching, snapshots of the happiest day of our lives. Paper Locket Photography was the obvious choice! Kate has a real talent for helping everyone to feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera, and as a result, delivers beautiful photos of the true emotions of the day. She keeps a casual demeanor in everything, yet is a true professional--always prompt and prepared! We had dreary rain all day long, but you wouldn't know it from the photos; she knew exactly how to manipulate the light and surroundings to produce the best possible pictures.
She was also very affordable! A lot of photographers will charge outrageous prices just for a few hours of frenzied posing, but Kate bundles everything you need into a reasonable package. I recommend her to every bride-to-be that I meet.

Paper Locket Photography was the absolute best decision I have ever made hands down... Besides marrying my husband of course! Kate Washmon was so professional, fun, attentive and truly gifted. Photography is such an important component and you always hear horror stories so choosing a photographer is such a daunting task. However, nothing about my experience with paper locket or Kate was daunting! Kate made me feel like a Princess and that my special day was special to her as well. She was so great in making us all feel relaxed and able to really soak in the beauty of the moment. The photos came out better then I ever could have expected. I get to relive how awesome the night was! She captured every Magic moment and then some. I am so thankful to Kate and HIGHLY recommend paper locket photography!!!!!

I was very pleased with the work of both Kate and Megan. I purchased the PLP Gold Package minus the Engagement Session(8 hours photography on wedding day, Bridal Session, Engagement Session). Their prices were the best around for the quality of work they produced. I was surprised with how excited they were when shooting my bridal portraits. They made me feel like a model. It was so nice to see that they were genuinely excited about the work they produced. I like that they had unlimited ideas when it came to poses, locations and props. They were so fun to work with.

On the wedding day, they showed up promptly and on time, ready to shoot from the moment I arrived. They were constantly taking pictures, and even managed to capture a touching/tearful moment between my best friend and I. I would definitely recommend them to all my friends.

I worked with Kate of Paper Locket Photography for our wedding photos. We got the smaller package, with just one photographer and only for the day of. She was on time and ready to work when we asked her to be there. She worked hard all night to get good shots, and made sure to get pictures of what we really wanted. She even entertained our moms in getting family photos they wanted. Great photographer!
