We could not have picked a better place to have our wedding. Overbrook's facilities are beautiful, Koffi and Erin are amazing to work with and are very flexible, and you cannot beat the value of renting Overbrook, especially if you have out of town guests. What we paid for a week of Overbrook was only a little more than what we were quoted for other venues in the area for a day. We were able to have our rehearsal dinner, our ceremony, and our reception all on the grounds, and with lodging for almost 30 of our friends and family, we didn't have to worry about people driving to and from different venues on the day of the wedding. The house itself is gorgeous and full of character, and the dance hall was a beautiful location for our reception and for dancing. We seriously cannot say enough about how perfect a venue Overbrook was for us - it really made our wedding unforgettable. The owners of Overbrook also run an organic farm (Bay End Farm), which supplied beautiful locally grown wildflowers that put the finishing touches on our decorations (there weren't many - the venue is beautiful enough on its own.)

I hosted my wedding at Overbrook House in Bourne, MA in June of 2014. Let me tell you, this venue is amazing for the DIYers. Basically you rent the entire (and I mean huge) property for an entire week. This property is perfect for outdoor, tented weddings with a little something extra. Our stay was from Thursday-Thursday. With the rental you get a huge 9-10 bedroom house, inground pool, dance hall and use of the grounds (multiple fields). There is also an option to rent "The Lodge" which is immediately next to the huge Overbrook House. With this venue you need to bring in EVERYTHING from tents (if you desire) tables, chairs, caters, toilets and all desired decorations. They have a preferred list of vendors, which I used. We (myself and bridesmaids) spent the day before the wedding decorating the dance hall and patio next to the dance hall. I had dinner under a big tent, so we decorated that as well. My ceremony was held on the field next to the big house, and we exchanged our vows underneath two trees draped in white chiffon. I made practically all the decorations, and everyone noticed the time and love I put into make the wedding ours (what I'd like to call a labor of love). What I love most about this venue is you can make it your own. If you go the "cookie cutter" route, you are basically given what you get to choose from. At Overbrook we got decide everything. Although we did bring in our own decorations, the venue itself is beautiful. The dance hall is just magical how it is tucked away in the woods and you emerge from a slatted stone path to greet it. I honestly cannot say enough about how special this venue is. Another fun part about the venue is we had our family stay at the Lodge and our bridal party stay at the big house. Since we got the venue for a week, we got to celebrate our marriage with a friends and family for a whole week! If you are a DIY or looking for something unique this is your venue, I promise.

We had our wedding at the Overbrook House and everything that was needed was there. It was a little rainy and there were so many umbrellas, when we went swimming there were plenty of towels. It was the best!

Overbrook is such a unique and magical venue. We were very lucky to have found it and to have beautiful weather for our events. Erin and Kofi were so generous and helpful before and during our wedding weekend. There are just no words to describe how it felt to walk through the path in the woods for a "first look" or party with friends and family in the dance hall with a campfire outside. If I could do it all again I wouldn't change a thing.

We got married on 5/21 at the Overbrook House and I could not have been happier with the way everything turned out! Erin and Kofi were so awesome and accommodating throughout the whole process. I really loved worked with Erin and she was a great resource for finding vendors in the area. She has such a nice energy.

The house itself is perfect old New England Charm and the grounds are beautiful. On the Thursday before the wedding when we arrived they were mowing the lawn, but the one field had beautiful yellow flowers. We asked them not to mow it and they kindly let us keep it. One of my favorite photos is with my husband and I walking through that field :)

The dance hall is perfect for the reception and we were able to fit a 30x60 tent right next to it for the dinner hour. They just expanded the patio which was great because we had 108 guests at 11 tables served family style and it fit perfectly. We also had the bar set-up on the patio.

As mentioned in other reviews, this is totally DIY. We ordered everything from chairs/tables to tents to restrooms. It allowed us freedom to incorporate our style but ended up costing more than we expected. Erin was very upfront about this so it wasn't a surprise.

The weather is another big question mark. We had an overcast day but still lovely. However the week before it looked like rain. It would be a challenge to enjoy the property in full if the weather had been rainy. Our ceremony/cocktail hour were outside up by the house. We then had folks move down to the dinner/dancing area. The space would be limited to one area if it rained and it would be such a shame since you are really paying for the property here. But of course, you can't predict it! And with nice weather it is absolutely stunning!

My husband and I loved it because we were able to enjoy quality time with friends & family staying at the house over the course of the weekend and that really made our wedding special to us. Thanks Erin and Kofi!

This was a great spot! I had my wedding & reception right on the Overbrook House. It definitely had an aspect of DIY...you have to set everything up and arrange everything with the vendors themselves. It definitely can add a lot of stress! But, at least for us, it helped make a truly memorable wedding. It's not like we went to a hotel and just chose a package...we MADE the wedding from the ground up! Our friends and family all commented that our wedding was great because they all felt involved...because they were all helping us!

The house itself was gorgeous. We stayed in the big house for a week. We really had no complaints with the accommodations, except that the oven didn't work (which caused a minor a catastrophe with our appetizers not getting cooked!) The house is vintage/antique-y without being fragile. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, serving dishes, pots and pans, and spices! The pool was great (although a little chilly during the week we were there). The dance barn was beautiful in our photos, and we rocked out with the speaker system down there and up in the house.

Erin & Kofi were both very helpful and friendly. They came down right before the wedding to direct traffic to the parking lot, and there was someone on the property maintaining the pool during the week, but other than that, they were very non-intrusive! They are a little slow to respond to e-mails, but eventually always got back to us, answered all questions, and did answer their phones whenever.

We stayed at Overbrook House for our wedding, and had our wedding there, as well. We loved Overbrook and thought it was a fantastic venue - just what we wanted. It is best for DIY-types though, as you get the whole place to yourself and need to them choose your vendors. This was great for us, but if you want an all-inclusive type of package this probably isn't for you. We stayed in the big house with about 20 of our friends and had a blast. Our ceremony and reception were on the field near Bay End Farm, which was absolutely beautiful. Erin is very nice and accommodating and will be happy to show you the property and the premises!
